Ok, FReepers, time to "turn to!" All hands on deck! Man your battle stations!!
Oct 24, 2008 | Jim Robinson

As reported on another thread:

"Major Garrett reports from Hawaii 10 minutes ago that David Axelrod the Campaign Manager for Barack Obama says as of this morning the campaign had a meeting in Chicago and according to internal numbers they have "a clear road to victory holding all Kerry states while picking up Ohio, Florida, Colorado, Nevada and Virginia with an excellent shot at Montana, North Carolina, West Virginia, and Indiana."

They are saying they will get to 400 EV's election night."

And I just heard through the grapevine yesterday that McCain-Palin are needing grassroots support in battleground states like Nevada, Montana, Ohio, Florida, Virginia, North Carolina, etc.

Can you imagine conservative Republican states going for Obama? No, and neither can I. Obama has the money, the press and the resources. McCain-Palin has the grassroots. It's time for the grassroots to scramble to action!

Grassroots? That's us! Time for all Free Republic chapters and members to visit or call the closest McCain-Palin or Republican headquarters, grab some signs, man the phones, walk the precincts, join rallies, spread the word! Don't let Obama and ACORN steal the election!! Get in their faces!!

We did it in 2000 and 2004, we can do it again in 2008!!

Go to work FReepers and Lurkers!! Get out the VOTE!!

Hussein appears to be avoiding the press,

IMO, that's why he is in Hawaii. Gramma is sick, yes. Convenient time to get out of the press when we turn up the heat on him. Biden is MIA these days too.

We must over run the press so they can not ingore the real Obiden any longer.

I heard Ron Paul has 4 percent in the polls in Montana, and that is exactly Omao’s lead there. Can you get the word out to the Paul supporters? More is at stake here than the purity of their vote.

I’ve been making my own bumper stickers and passing them out. I can’t keep up with the demand. Now I’m starting to see giant McCain-Palin posters and signs popping up all over.

Alabama is NObama!!!!!

Just put up a bunch of McCain signs here at City Hall here in Buda Tx. Early voting is going on and the line’s like an hour long.

We have donated, will do so again, and have several signs on our lawn and stickers on our cars. I’ve gotten some people connected to FR so they may see the truth.

Obama will try to destroy America if he gets in, and the Democrats will do what they can to make sure dissent is stifled and they never lose power again. We cannot let this happen.

Lots of McCain signs in the outlying coastal areas (we're in Oregon right now). Some guy saw the sticker on my car and tried to engage me in a debate, complaining about all the money we spend on defense. Don't give up...

BTW that Merkley fellow sounds like a real character.

I hear that !

Here you have to search long and hard to even find a campaign headquarters. This state is about written off. It's a real shame too, we have some excellent Fed. Congress candidates, many of the Iraq Veterans. But they get no help nationally.

Oops, that was a Freudian slip of the lip. I meant to say “button” it up for you. Metaphorically speaking anyway.

Thanks for the thread! If anyone is in a Red State like mine, you can start calling into other states using your cell phone minutes and on weekends it is free. Please sign up at:

https://secure.johnmccain.com//Secure/Signup.aspx?smode=phonebank

My recommendation in order to make as many calls as possible is not to follow the lengthy script. I would tell the person that answers who you are and you are calling at the request of Senator McCain and Governor Palin to ask for their vote. Ask them if they have any questions and be sure to thank them for their time and their vote for Senator McCain and Governor Palin. That’s when you find out if they were playing you along. Most people I have had say they are definitely voting for McCain/Palin and some have said they are voting for Palin when they vote for McCain — I tell them works for me!

Keep a cheat sheet close if they have questions. Be nice and polite and if someone is obnoxious thank them for their time and hang up. Don’t get in a fight with some idiot because you cannot win and it waste time.

If you have any questions, please freep mail me — been making calls for over six weeks for McCain/Palin for our regional coordinator. The phone bank list at McCain’s website will enable a lot more people to make calls into Battleground States.

If you have the time, please help make calls into other states that are Battleground States. Let’s win this one for America!

“What the hell happened to New England?”

I’m only 33 so it’s been like this (more or less) as far back as I can remember. My neighborhood isn’t that bad, there are actually 5 people on my street sporting McCain/Palin signs. I guess I’m not the only bitter clinger in the hood!
