Ok, FReepers, time to "turn to!" All hands on deck! Man your battle stations!!
Oct 24, 2008 | Jim Robinson

As reported on another thread:

"Major Garrett reports from Hawaii 10 minutes ago that David Axelrod the Campaign Manager for Barack Obama says as of this morning the campaign had a meeting in Chicago and according to internal numbers they have "a clear road to victory holding all Kerry states while picking up Ohio, Florida, Colorado, Nevada and Virginia with an excellent shot at Montana, North Carolina, West Virginia, and Indiana."

They are saying they will get to 400 EV's election night."

And I just heard through the grapevine yesterday that McCain-Palin are needing grassroots support in battleground states like Nevada, Montana, Ohio, Florida, Virginia, North Carolina, etc.

Can you imagine conservative Republican states going for Obama? No, and neither can I. Obama has the money, the press and the resources. McCain-Palin has the grassroots. It's time for the grassroots to scramble to action!

Grassroots? That's us! Time for all Free Republic chapters and members to visit or call the closest McCain-Palin or Republican headquarters, grab some signs, man the phones, walk the precincts, join rallies, spread the word! Don't let Obama and ACORN steal the election!! Get in their faces!!

We did it in 2000 and 2004, we can do it again in 2008!!

Go to work FReepers and Lurkers!! Get out the VOTE!!

“The folks here aren’t the ones needing the information, especially multiple times on multiple threds. That’s very annoying. Get it?”

NO. I don’t ‘get it’.
I was directed FReepers to email addresses where they could protest. GET IT??
I had dozens of people PM me and thank me for giving them the email addresses and the opportunity to make their voices heard.

I thought I’d go to the county recorders office to vote early today at around 1pm, I went in and started getting paranoid. There was a counter with at least 16 clerks... almost all black, only 2 hispanics, not a white soul in sight to give even a 50% chance that perhaps one of them was republican.

there was a huge line of only black and hispanics (very illegal looking hispanics). I was looking at a 20-30 minute wait .....

( then I started thinking “this reminds me of broward County FL in 2000”

so I took the clipboard application back to the black clerk and left. I had to squeeze out through a mob of black people waiting to vote, many wearing Obama t-shirts > I seriously doubted there would be any oversite whatsoever at this Los Angeles County early voting place,
I am not being “racist” but I did not trust the polling place one bit because I am aware that 99% of blacks are democrats
In my opinion a polling place should be run by representatives of both parties

If

* the questions surrounding his constitutional eligibility;

* his connection to Ayers and attempts to soft-pedal that relationship;

* his lightweight experience on foreign policy;

* his naivete concerning the likes of Ahmadinijad and Hugo Chavez;

* his strong ideological analogue to the aforementioned;

* his cavalier regard for innocent human life/support for FOCA;

* his socialist ambitions on domestic policy;

* his thin-skinned demeanor that is the trademark of many a dictator, and;

* his questionable background/upbrining, lacking a male authority figure like a father in his life while growing up

are not enough to convince purists to support the best hope we have to keep this shady character as far away from ANY elected office (to say nothing of the highest office in the land), I don't know what is.

I’d wager, off hand, that right now, Free Republic is an anti-0bamba site.

We’re a web site that’s going to pushing mighty hard against the baby murdering, gun grabbing, America-hating Marxist surrender monkey, Barak Hussein Obama. If you’re going to push some other line, you might want to do it elsewhere. It may get pretty uncomfortable for you here.

As much as I despise and loathe McNutball,this whole ticket and his campaign, there’s no choice but to vote for him.

Gotta hold my nose, cross my fingers, bleed a pig, shake a rattle and pull the lever.

The slope is getting slippier.

we could copy the volunter resources on a seperate link.

It is a way to make phone calls.

People could post on FR and give live action results of their calling efforts.

My guess is that their internals are showing McCain with about 325 electoral votes on 11/04.

D1, with all due respect, the M.O. of liberals is to throw every truth against them back on those telling the truth about them.

Catch them cheating, they scream we are cheating, etc., etc.

That being the case, if they are getting vocal about Hussein having 400 EVs, then obviously their internals are saying the exact opposite.

They are about to get stomped, even with the fraud, and they know it!

God Bless the Republic!

Until proven otherwise on November 4th, I am operating under your premise. I completely agree with you. These folks are immoral liars. And it hurts their cause almost as bad as it hurts the nation for them to act this way.

geez, when I vote there will be 3,ooo registered democrats against 4o registered republicans. That was my analogy to Custer.

they were fighting for their way of life and their land. They came together to defeat a common enemy trying to subjugate them, reeducate them and enslave them.

Some Americans have made similar statements about Japan after WWII. The Smithsonian created an uproar 1n 1994 by stating in a display that "For most Americans," the script says, "it was a war of vengeance. For most Japanese, it was a war to defend their unique culture against Western imperialism."

Patton and MacArthur were also hated by some Americans but thank God for them.

So I guess the real burning question to ask here is whether Free Republic is a conservative website? Or is it changing to strictly a GOP club?

The real burning question is how many angels can dance on the head of a pin?

I’m undecided in this election. I probably won’t actually decide until I’ve got the ballot sitting in front of me. I’m that torn. Clearly voting for BHO is a nonstarter. However I’m having a very hard time reconciling the idea of voting for a faux conservative for President when there are real, honest to goodness conservatives running as 3rd party candidates. Sarah Palin is wonderful. It’s very unfortunate that she isn’t leading the ticket.

do you happen to know how the votes are collected ?

Do they get run through each counties County recorder's Office ?

If so, I am verrrry suspicious after seeing the employeees at the LA county recorder's office.

I know they are counted at the polling place and forwarded to somewhere for another tally, do the political parties send inspectors to ensure compliance ?

“Time for all Free Republic chapters and members to visit or call the closest McCain-Palin or Republican headquarters, grab some signs,”

IF the McCain campaign would send signs it would help. I’ve been trying to get some from the local RNC office for weeks and they’ve never been able to get any. I gave up and made my own.
