I've been Slug Slimed. What do I do?

24 hours ago I picked up a cooler that was on my porch. A garden slug was on it. He attached himself to my middle finger on my left hand. I shook him off and washed my hands. Apparently I failed to wash adequately enough.

Now I have a ugly festeing blister on my finger. I google searched for answers. Didn't find any help. But I know my FReeper FRiends will come through with all sorts of solutions and answers. Some may even be helpful. (But I doubt it)

Possibly an allergic reaction. The stuff is just about impossible to get off and water absolutely does not help. But I never heard of anyone reacting with blisters.

Unless it's a zombie slug. Check your pulse. If you don't get to "One" and you start to have an irresistible desire to eat brains, it isn't a good sign. But you can work with it, I guess. Just don't bother looking in any houses with an Obama sign out front.

I was weed whipping the yard 2 days ago and must have hit a slug. I ended up with a piece on my cheek.

Are you sure it was a slug that got you? Leeches come in a variety of shapes, colors, and sizes. I’ve never heard of slug slime being a problem. Maybe you have an allergy.

Scrub, disinfect with peroxide, put on a thick layer of Neosporin (I swear that stuff is like magic)

Take some benadryl in case it is an allergic reaction

If not better in 24 hours(or gets worse) go to the doctor right away

What did the slug look like and what color was it? Did you only blister at the place it attached? What is the shape of the wound (round, square, elongated)? My guess is that it was a leech instead of a slug.
