If he was adopted, his name is Barry Soetoro. We have no proof that he was EVER legally “Barack Hussein Obama”, even at birth.

For all we know, “Barack Hussein Obama” is a name he assumed in his “search” for his “identity as a black man”.

It says “duly nominated.” So I suppose it depends what the meaning of “duly” is.

Apparently you can be duly nominated even though there was cheating in many of the primaries. And apparently you can be duly nominated even though the superdelegates went back on their pledges. (But, of course, they have that right.)

And apparently you can be duly nominated without any check of whether you are QUALIFIED under the Constitution, since the Constitution is, for these guys, not really relevant to the process.

So, it should mean something, but it obviously doesn’t. If they had seen and checked the official birth certificate, they would have said so, long since.

It is just unbelievable that no system has been established (other than believing a political party’s statement a candidate is eligible) verfifying someone meets the eligibility requirements. We have far too many people who are moving in and out of our country, in and out of our states not to see that this is verified. As long as you seem to be of appropriate age and say that you are born in the United States of legal parentage, then you are deemed eligible...without adequate proof. It is the most ridiculous abuse I have ever heard of....and has to be changed! We are getting ready to have a man elected to be our President that has a suspicious background and has offered no proof he is a natural born citizen.....and most of the people are just ignorant or ignoring this factor. I stay in shock over this entire election. I cannot believe this wonderful country is allowing this fiasco. I cannot believe that a good portion of our citizens would accept this as ‘okay’. Even my Congresswoman did not have a clue....and I like her and her record....shocking!

So we know for sure Tennessee, Florida and California do not check eligibility - any others?

Well, according to one source, his white ‘girlfriend’ at Occidental is the one who told him to start calling himself Barack Obama and when he went back to Hawaii and told his grannie and his sister this...they were shocked.

Senator McCain was born in Panama, to two US Citizens. His father was in the military. He was born in a private hospital.

When he was sued, he provided all of the documentation. I am pretty sure he is a citizen about 4 times over - parents both US Citizens - something from the congress when he was 2 years old making all children born in the Canal Zone to US parents US Citizens (there was a lot of American activity there at that time).

Also, even if there was a question, when he went into the military, he had to declare his citizenship.

If Senator Obama has done this, I can’t find it. He could release his documentation. If he had declared his citizenship by the time he was 21, all of this would be a moot point.

Anyway, congress finally put it to rest with Senator McCain with a resolution declaring him to be a Natural Born Citizen. The lawsuit was properly dismissed, with all information on the table.

Senator Obama has refused to release anything.

This speaks for itself.

Everyone - consider that not only President and Vice President are not checked, but the candidates for US Senator, US Representative, State and Local offices, Attorney Generals, etc., are not checked either.

The issue only arises if one candidate wants to take issue with another...

A major loophole has developed in the election process, one that should have this entire election declared null and void.

So, after the election when they prosicute nobambi for the largest con in history performed on the American people, will this document also be able to take down Polosie & Dean?

.. nagging question remains though: Who would actually prosicute him? With something this important, all we’ve heard from the Dept.of Justice is the sound of crickets. The *authorities* are allowing him free rein. Who’s to stop him?

Obama has falsely claimed to have placed the “original” on the Internet. Factcheck.org has falsely claimed to have seen this document and posted it on the Internet; that is not true.

For those of you who say move on from this tripe it can't be because Obama has been responsible about providing required proof. This is a very serious matter. Obama will not release his original COLB. Obama, to anyone's knowledge, has not proven he's eligable to be POTUS! This is of dire consequence if country elects this ineligible charlatan. That's exactly what you have to call him because he refuses to provide legtimate documentation proving he's qualified!

This proof HAS TO BE DEMANDED! We as citizens of this country have a RIGHT to demand proper legal documentation in accordance with the U.S. constitution!

Since this court ruling proves the documentation which has been provided so far is false we better demand Obama prove he's eligible!

Folks, how in hell can someone be nominated for president and NOT ever have shown his proof of citizenship? I don’t get it . forgive me but isn’t there some sort of law that requires one to PROVE where they were born before they are put in that position. Forgive my ignorance but I always just assumed that
a birth certificate was a given in these circumstances.

The Democrats have tried to get by using a 'certificate of live birth' from Hawaii that is a summary (doesn't have all the original information) of the original birth certificate. For some reason, Obama hasn't released the original.

Senator Obama has refused to release anything.
And not one Republican in office is going mental about this?
I’m sorry folks but this is how I see it. IF it’s true that Obama has not proven his US citizenship then there should be 1000 republican lawmakers , RIGHT NOW , all over the TV , all over the country , holding press conferences, major new releases etc..shouting this from the rooftops . This should be a MAJOR headline scandal. I’ve yet to head of any GOP feedback AT ALL. This really makes me wonder about this whole business.

See post 36, then post 16.

Post 36 is common to most states.

Post 16 is a call to action.

Any challenge to the qualifications of a U.S. Presidential candidate should be made in a court of competent jurisdiction (such as what has occurred in federal court in Pennsylvania regarding Senator Obama).

And the court in question demurred claiming that the plaintiff had no standing. If a citizen has no standing before the court to question the eligibility of a candidate, who does?

it is irrelevant what the RNC does or does not do. We, the American People must do what is required. We need to do our own heavy lifting!

McCain was born on a US military base in Panama to his parents who were both US citizens. Don’t you remember seeing McCain’s original birth certificate all over the TV, internet, and major newspapers way back before the primary elections?? However, we have YET to see a copy of Obama’s ORIGINAL birth certificate!

Citizens are responsible for this. Since we have allowed the two major parties to be corrupted by corporate and international interests, they do whatever they want, even nominating unqualified candidates, apparently.

When citizens have proper involvement in the process, questions such as eligibility can be answered before the party invests in a candidate. Anyone nominating a candidate is responsible to know if their nominee is eligible, so any delegate nominating an ineligible candidate is culpable.
