Enough already. Please.
Vanities used to be well thought out, researched and/or funny and somewhat rare. Now the vanities consist of whatever crap pops in someone's head and they are drowning out whatever news is being posted.
I'm not the forum police, but please add you're rant, joke or pearl of wisdom to an ongoing thread.

Seriously, I have some blogs and the spare change you get from AdSense is not income from your writing.

Many of these vanities remind me of the little old lady that called Neal Boortz and told him to be sure and tell people if they let off of the gas going down hill the would increase their mileage.

All the crap posted is mostly by people that haven’t been here more than a year or two.

Two things: 1) what's the possibility of a rating for posts? Then we could save ourselves the torment of some of these threads -- not just Vanities, but also, like Christo Buckley's latest yawner, or Kathleen Parker's newest 0bama lap-dance? and 2) How about a very firm rule that Vanities get posted in Bloggers/Personal or General Chat, but never in breaking news? "I'm so depressed today," just isn't breaking. Ever.

hear hear....it was fairly tolerated in the heat of the election and I too said something about vanities and got clobbered (same way as when I admitted being worried....”you defeatist, traitor, newbie, troll, pissy, hysterical, girlyman, and so on”
i hope our eat your children phase is now behind us...lol
every positive article I saw I would get interested and then find it was some crap from a vanity of goof blog I coulda written

This is the first vanity in days that I was grateful to read. I think the vanities will taper off after folks get over the shock that BHO, he of no executive experience whatsoever, will be our new president.
