Is Obama "Your President"?
November 7, 2008 | No Red Tape

Posted on 11/07/2008 11:50:37 AM PST by NoRedTape

As the giddy minions gear-up for "President-elect" Obama's news conference today and the transition of power over the coming weeks, what is your view of the new "President-elect"?

Do you consider Obama "Your President"? Will you partake in past conventional acceptance and show respect for him holding such Office? or.. will you decide to not support him as President?

Personally, I do not consider him my "President". Obviously, this pains me because as an American I would want to feel great about supporting whomever is duly elected. But Obama was pushed through, in my opinion, not vetted - just shuffled through the process by the Liberal Press (lamestream media). He was NEVER challenged on the negatives of his associations and never even specifically took the time to answer questions on his Birth Certificate or to answer the Flag pin controversy or his 'hands at his waist' during the National Anthem. The largest issue of divide is his stance on abortion. Secondly is his liberal influence which terrifies me in how he might handle the placement of Judges on the Supreme Court and the many other, but still critical lower Courts. Thirdly is how he might dilute the Military and mishandle the War.

Who is this President-elect to you?

Is he "Your President"? If so...........why? And, if not..............why not?

I was thinking that if the first black president had to be a Democrat, why did it have to Obama? I would have much rather seen Morgan Freeman or Bill Cosby be elected.

"Careful. Could be a DU plant. NoRedTape - Since May 27, 2008"

DU "plants" fester in a bed of manure. I am a Kern County Republican and proud Palin voter. (But, at least you are skeptical. I think that is a very positive trait).

Frankly, I consider my party to be way better than his. Therefore, I have to act way better than they did. Actually, that’s not difficult. My parents raised me to do that.

George W. Bush is "my" president until January 20.

When 0bama becomes the president, he will be the president, but not really "my" president, because he didn't get my vote.

I viewed Clinton the same way - he was the president, but not "my" president. I respect the office, but not necessarily the man.

He is the President Elect. He will be the legitimate President, once he is sworn in. There is nothing we can do about that.

Henny Youngman the King of the one liners passed on today. If he’d been asked, “Do you consider Obama to be “Your President”?, I expect he might say something like. Sure he is, but not for long.

RIP Henny.

No, and I’m stocking up on the “He’s not MY president!” bumper stickers for January 20th.

I will fight his agenda at every turn.

“He is president-elect., I accept it. I don’t have to like it.”

Ditto

And there is nothing that says I must agree with him (yet).

I will fight against all and any policies that do not meet my values and/or my standards.

We need all who disagree with his program(s) to say so every hour of every day of every week of every year(s).

How can he be considered anyone’s President? He has not taken office.

Sorry that your set-up question didn’t work. Wonder how many trolls we are going to be getting to go with the ones we have?

He is the president so as an American I respect that. I will not allow myself to be like the bone-head left.

He is not MY president unless he changes 99% of is views and policies.

With that said, I'm going gun shopping this afternoon. I think I am going to get a Ruger...

I don’t know Morgan Freeman’s politics, but I like Bill Cosby’s comment sense and willingness to confront the African-American when he sees the need to do so.

Yes, I will consider him my President. There is no point in acting like an ass (no pun intended) like the Dems have for the past 8 years.

That doesn’t mean his actions won’t be criticized by me when I feel it’s necessary.
