The term “The One”, as Oprah uses it, is from the Book/Film, “The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman” by Ernest J. Gaines. The story is a fictional account of the life of freed slaves after the Civil War. According to the story, which is well known in the black community, the freed slaves would look at the face of each newborn and ask “Are you The One”. The man that would be their savior. If you want to see the wonderful minority culture, look at Prince Georges county in Maryland. It was taken over by middle class and upper class blacks. It is rife with crime and corruption and the schools are a disaster. They can no longer blame it on the white majority or on the whites in charge because blacks are now in charge of everything - schools, government, police, emergency services.

My sincere apologies to the many hardworking blacks who are not responsible for this. There are just not enough of you to outweigh the majority of blacks who are running things into the ground.
