There are high expectations for Obama. Ones he cannot possibly meet. When he lets them all down AND they see his true agenda the pendullum will swing back to the right due to the disillusioned voters.

Obama really has no idea what he is in for since he has absolutely no experience and governing anything! He is going to have some major mis-steps. You just wait and see.

He will over reach because he believes the voters gave him a mandate to do as he pleased.

I'm suspecting that Obama won because the conservative voters didn't turn out for McCain. The vote tally isn't that much higher than four years ago. The Republican GOTV should have been able to equal the crazies in my opinion. That means to me that McCain lost the election by his erratic behavior during the credit crisis and the voters lost whatever enthusiasm for him they had at that point.

My thinking on this is as follows: Zero will upon taking office give a tax break to middle and lower class taxpayers while at the same time not raising the tax on upper income individuals, thus further increasing the debt. I'm sure even his rat advisers are telling him that raising taxes in this economic environment is a recipe for disaster. That being said, he'll go to work on issues that won't require large amounts of government expenditures to solidify his base as in the “fairness doctrine”, open ballot union elections, wacko environmental decrees, and the abolishment of “Don't Ask, Don't Tell” for gays in the military. He let's the Bush tax cuts expire in 2010 thereby effectively raising taxes on the roughly 60% of the population who still pay them. If that's not enough, which it won't be, at that point he'll go down the income scale until he taxes enough people to enact his agenda. This will take place shortly after the next round of Congressional elections in 2010.

My girlfriend voted for him, not because of what he stands for, but as a vote against the GOP and conservatives. She didn't take the time to research, or even believe, the facts about this man. She just hated Bush and she always votes democrat. I know that in a couple of years she'll be singing a different tune when the dems take our 401K's, and she loses her job because her small business boss can't afford her because of all the capital gains taxes. It's a tough time in my household right now, but I know one day she'll come to her senses, and I hope the other obamunists in the country do the same.

I would love to know what percent of 0’s 52% voted for him just because they were fed up with Bush. In my opinion that’s not a group that can be expected to be too tolerant of extremes and will quickly abandon him once his true agenda sees the light of day. This man won because he was in the right place at the right time. Paraphrasing Bill Whittle in NRO, it took an unpopular war, an unpopular president, a feeble economy, a collapsing housing market, unprecedented amounts of private funds, and billions of dollars in free advertising courtesy of our “Fair and Objective” media to garner him a whopping 52%. Any other time in our past or any time in the future this man gets no more than 40%.

I don't doubt that, since he is at bottom a man of no physical OR moral courage. He is merely the cover that got the American public to buy the book, and all he has to do is maintain a facade... and those who have engineered his presidency will see to it that the facade is maintained no matter what the cost.

Your analysis suffers by being too intelligent and thoughtful. You are making the classic mistake of not seeing the blindness of the subject(s) and you project reason where the isn't or won't be any.

I used that same phrase (over reach)after Obozo’s win for the same reason it is used in the story. Obama and his flying monkey democrats have been champing and snarling at the bit in frustration for 8 looooong years. They may, at some deep level understand the need for caution but even if they do, the sheer glee at being able now to slam through damn near anything they want (they think)is going to take over. These people are going to take off like children let loose in candy land.

I don't have the slightest doubt that they will, moronically, provoke a constitutional crises inside of two years.
