Video here. Great interview with Sarah Palin in her own home kitchen as she prepares dinner and talks about what an awesome father to their kids Todd Palin is and related topics in the best four minutes and twenty eight seconds from the most recent home interview by Greta Van Susteren.

Hey, she has my kitchen cupboards, or some very similar to mine.

Her kitchen/family room is in very good taste. Not over-the-top. Not grandiose. Obviously Sarah Palin has a good sense of class, and didn't fall off the turnip truck the way the media made her appear.

The only thing that sort of bothered me was that she was cooking in her “Sunday go to Meetin’ clothes”, complete with some nice jewelry. I wouldn’t even think of cooking dressed like that—LOL! Maybe she’s a neater cook than I am.

Am I the only one bothered by this? Here we have an accomplished professional woman who just ran for VP of the US being interviewed while she cooks in her kitchen. Cleverly hidden sexism. Would Greta interview Biden while he cleaned his garage?? (Okay, Biden’s never cleaned a garage in his life, but that’s not my point.)

I couldn’t agree more! A little kitchen goes a long way. Nothing wrong with showing her at home with her family – however the kitchen cooking segment was much too long. How can she be taken seriously when over half of the interview was showing the nation how to cook wienie’s? It was weird.

I adore Sarah and hope we see more of her in the future, but the more she says “I’m not complaining about it”, the more she sounds like she’s complaining about it! Sheesh!

Am I the only one bothered by this?

As befits a rock star, such as Gov Palin or Grace Slick, the kitchen interview is appropriate.

Those are probably the clothes she came home in and didn’t have time to change.

Much ado about nothing. She was probably hungry for some moose stew...it had been a while! LOL!

Okay, I'm not bugged by the kitchen but I am starting to get tired of the good governor saying good things about Hillary.

During the campaign there was a reason for going easy on Hillary as HC fans were needed votes and possible votes but we are not in the backstretch of a campaign now.

Hillary in her heart of hearts hates us and hates Sarah. Hillary wants to be the Nanny of the Nanny State and is as much a Marxist as B. Hussein Obama.

Gov Palin is teaching Hillary! how to think. Besides, Gov Palin does bake cookies and that irks Hillary! who is not capable of irony only sarcasm.

I gotcha---I went to FHS.

They looked fine to me. She can muti-task--talk, cook, doesn't need an apron. I loved it when she got handlotion.

It looked like a house full there to eat. There were all kinds of people in the background. I bet their house is that way most of the time--full of people.

I disagree.

For a good woman in politics or business to be considered diminished by being shown in domestic settings, in the kitchen, taking care of her kids, et cetera, is itself a sexist premise.

Any good woman in politics or business should be able to be seen in all areas of life without any of those being seen as lessening her credibility or business. Because otherwise, people are essentially being asked to live a lie and hide or deny or marginalize very real aspects of their lives.

One of the coolest things about Sarah is that she is holistic. She has spoken of taking care of business on the phone as Governor while taking care of Trig. In early campaigns, and this recent one, she was surrounded by her kids and husband while campaigning.

All of that is new to politics, and awesome: it shows that people do live holistic lives with home, family, and work all included. There don’t need to be artificial walls of separation between home and work, between family and career. All elements of life can be integrated into an awesome holistic whole.

Sarah does that, and it is one of the reasons that I am already enthusiastically supporting her for President in 2012, and as a true North Star on the political scene in the meantime.

And for the record, all of this applies equally to men, who should be valued just as much as fathers to their children as they are as workers in business or politics. Men too live holistic lives, and the artificial barriers in place that suggest being a businessperson means being less in the family need to fall ASAP if Western Civilization is to be resurrected.

The only way to knock down such barriers is to in fact knock them down. Thus this video, which shows future President Sarah in the kitchen, helped by Piper, admiringly talking about how Todd is an awesome father to all the kids.
