starting Jan 20th 2009, all good Americans should fly their flags at half mast.
This is normally done for the death of a President or some grave happening or death of many ( like 9-11 ). this ego maniacal thug will cause the death of our country.
When a flag is flown upside down it means the country is in distress...
I’m not going to act like a baby having a tantrum - like the Democrats did for the past 8 years.
I prefer to belong to a part of grown-ups.

WHY IS THE U.S. FLAG FLOWN UPSIDE DOWN?
“The upside down U.S. flag is an official signal of distress. It is not meant to be, and is not officially recognized as any type of disrespect when so displayed for the right reasons. To the contrary, here is the relevant part of the US Code of Laws regarding how to fly the flag when in distress:

§ 176. Respect for flag: No disrespect should be shown to the flag of the United States of America; the flag should not be dipped to any person or thing. Regimental colors, State flags, and organization or institutional flags are to be dipped as a mark of honor.
(a) The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property.
Most individuals who have served in the military service of our nation will (or should) recognize this signal.
As a result of the many traitors and enemies we as a free people have, both foreign and domestic, as a result of the many unconstitutional acts, legislation and atrocities passed and/or committed against US citizens and their life, liberty and property, and as a result of policies that have allowed (and continue to allow) enemies of this nation to enter in large numbers through a porous border policy, the life, liberty and property of US citizens are in dire danger and distress.”

It’s a SILENT PROTEST and a way of standing together in solidarity.
I’ve got my flag hanging in my window. I’ll change the formation so that the stars are at the bottom on Jan 20, OR if I end up going to the inauguration, as soon as I get home.

I agree. It’s a bad thing when we are reduced to using our national flag as some sort of dyslexic semaphore for “We’re Screwed”. Show respect for the flag be a citizen, write a letter or an eMail to your CongressCritter.
Please don’t use our flag as a political tool. That’s what the leftists do, in their burning and stomping of it. Our soldiers are dying for what that flag embodies. The lease we can do is continue our respect for their sacrifice.
While I understand your point, I disagree. We can respect the flag as we protest.
Remember, Obama and his Marxist crew are going to use the flag to their own unholy ends. It's important (IMHO) that we put a different face on things.
Thats a great idea! We have got to do things to be noticed like the dems do. I’m tired of the Repubs just taking crap without any sort of a protest. Flags at half mast would certainly get noticed.

I think the republican party needs to spend its time finding itself and then defining itself to the American people and posting Conservatism101 in Usenet and other liberal blogs. The entire campaign of 2008 was nothing but what Obama and the democrats will do and very little about what we will do. Unfortunately, we lost. Instead of spending the next 4 years crying I think we had better start working on regaining both houses in 2010.
