Change. Yeah, we has it 100K is the new "Rich"
Obama's Change Website ^

Posted on 11/20/2008 9:59:28 AM PST by Explodo

Well the details are back up on the Messiahs website and change we got.

Looks like $100k is the new $250

So help me out here, does the change.gov site change daily?

Does this mean if you make over 100K you are considered "Rich"?

I think I need to create a spreadsheet to keep score...Also, I feel like I need to go take a shower...wandering around Change.gov is akin to reading DU

Next week it’ll be down to 42K...I just know it.

California is run top to bottom by liberals, the top California income tax rate starts at just under $45,000.

No one in America feels rich at $45,000, much less anyone living in California.

To the Dems, if you've got a job, you're rich, and need to be taxed nearly to death.

"Under the Obama-Biden Plan: Middle class families will see their taxes cut -- and no family making less than $250,000 will see their taxes increase. The typical middle class family will receive well over $1,000 in tax relief under the Obama-Biden plan, and will pay tax rates that are 20 percent lower than they faced under President Reagan.

Families making more than $250,000 will pay either the same or lower tax rates than they paid in the 1990s. Obama will ask the wealthiest two percent of families to give back a portion of the tax cuts they have received over the past eight years to ensure we are restoring fairness and returning to fiscal responsibility. But no family will pay higher tax rates than they would have paid in the 1990s. "

WELL AT LEAST the great O-bama will ASK! So we can say "no"- right?

you're rich.

“Rich” will soon be anyone with a spare dime.

As Obama has stated plainly in the past, he is willing to make everyone poorer, so long as the gap between rich and poor is closed.

Equality in Poverty.

The new Socialist Motto.

Plain and simple. Stated publicly. No question about it. Everyone equally poor.

He dropped this piece of his Economic Plan (I have his pre-election plan, which was up right until election day, downloaded):

• Enact a Windfall Profits Tax to Provide a $1,000 Emergency Energy Rebate to American Families:Barack Obama and Joe Biden will enact a windfall profits tax on excessive oil company profits to give American families an immediate $1,000 emergency energy rebate to help families pay rising bills. This relief would be a down payment on the Obama-Biden long-term plan to provide middle-class families with at least $1,000 per year in permanent tax relief.

But look at the chart below where it outlines tax cuts for different scenerios: 1) couples making 75K with two children, one in college ($3,700 +); 2) married couples making 90K ($1,000); single parents making 40K with 2 kids ($2,100 +); 70 yr-old widow making 35K ($1,900). What about couples making over 90K?

Plus, he’s asking “wealthy” Americans to RETURN the tax cuts they received the past eight years. He’s rescinding Pres. Bush’s tax cuts and asking them to return them!

Did he say he would do this in the campaign? Make higher taxes on the “wealthy” retroactive?

Oh I see, if you work hard to learn marketable skills, drag yourself out of bed each day for 8 or more hours of work, and earn a paycheck that confiscates an unhealthy portion for taxes... you’re a rich bastard who just isn’t sacrificing enough. Bunch of @#%# retards.

Part of the income I EARN as the sole income for my family is from commissions and bonus. It’s a PERFORMANCE based compensation that I assure Mr. Obammo is being taxed higher than my salary. The thought of Obammmmo thinking for split second that I should be ‘redistributing’ anything more is insulting.

No, not exactly. All of us regular "rich" people will become poorer. Those who are extremely rich (Buffet, Soros, Oprah) will not feel any proportional effect. The new gap will be between all of us and the super rich liberal elite who are all BO supporters and so will never be touched.

I did not get the sense that $100K was the new $250K from the article, although it would not surprise me. What I read into it was that if you earn less than $100K you get all the wonderful benefits list, but if you make between $100K to $250K, you get squat.

With the Obama team, however, you just never know what the h3ll is going to happen.

Expand High-Quality Afterschool Opportunities: Barack Obama and Joe Biden will double funding for the main federal support for afterschool programs, the 21st Century Learning Centers program, to serve one million more children. They will include measures to maximize performance and effectiveness across grantees nationwide.

This scares me more than tax consequences. After school opportunities to further indoctrinate our children using the 21st Century Learning Center.

“The American dream is increasingly out of reach for many people. Americans with incomes below $100,000 have experienced stagnating wages.....”

The key words in Obama’s 3cardmonty.org are “BELOW $100,000”. $90,000 os BELOW $100k, and $30,000 is BELOW $100k. So, the smarmy Obama campaign has lowered the tax relief bar from $250k, to $150k, to $120K, to now, BELOW $100k. Heck, $5.32 also fits the definition of “below $100,000”. Obama’s Kenyan brother earns “below $100,000”. Pure weasel words, designed for plausible deniability.

The entire site is filled with social engineering proposals by the federal government. If they cannot openly advocate salary caps, they will attempt to achieve their objectives incrementally.

That website has all the things he refused to say during the campaign because he’d lose the election.

Like requiring every single PRIVATE employer to give 7 paid sick days a year to every employee.

Government has no business interfering in the private contracts between employee and employer. But now, if you are a person who doesn’t get sick, you will be forced to take lower wages to provide sick days to your fellow workers who either get sick all the time, or aren’t ethical so will take their paid sick days whether they are sick or not.

I always wondered - In a perfect Baraq world who gets to eat the lobster? I mean who gets to drive the Cadillac or Mercedes, or do all these companies go out of business and we all drive only what we need to?

If it comes down to from each according to his ability, to each according to his need then who gets beachfront property and who gets the project style apartments?

Just curious how they will spin that answer to justify having to be a donating (D) to get those things.

No one seems to catch the paid sick days. Seven of them to be exact. Which I can guarantee will be used annually. The next question will be, are they cumulative, and are they to be paid if the employee is discharged/fired ?

If you're not standing in a Soviet-style bread line, you're rich.

You have it a little backwards. People in the old soviet union had tons of money and prices were low too so they were sort of rich. That is they might have had a million rubles which "was worth" a million loaves of bread.

The problem was in a free market, a million rubles were not worth a million. But in a controlled market, a million rubles seemed like a lot and you really were rich if you were allowed to buy all you wanted at the controlled price.

Extend Paid Sick Days to All Workers: Half of all private sector workers have no paid sick days and the problem is worse for employees in low-paying jobs, where less than a quarter receive any paid sick days. Barack Obama and Joe Biden will require that employers provide seven paid sick days per year.

Sick = hungover, or still on that bender.
