Yep, just like Walter Reed the night before, the clipper that moved briskly in made its point. In this very short video you can hear the wind blowing. And you get to see the TWO Quackers that showed up. Just like in the windy n drizzly weather last week, the Quackers could only muster two dedicated faux troop supporters.
This Saturday though was a little nippier than last week. Hey BufordP, just be glad we werent out of town this Saturday. Temps were around 30. Not sure of the wind chill.
It was cold enough to keep some of our Legionnaires off the corner for some good reasons. Halsey (USMC - Korea) and Frank (Army - Korea) informed us long ago that if it is really cold, dont expect them. They had enough cold in Korea to last a life time. And Glenn (USMC - Iwo Jima) and Dave (Army - WWII) earned the right to stay off the corner. But Glenn and Dave did stop by (BELOW) to give us some moral support. Dave is getting into the Christmas spirit with his red hat.
And a lady (BELOW) also stopped by to give us some moral support in the form of hot coffee and donuts.
The list of the 7 Troop Supporters include: Legionnaires Dennis (Army - Korea), and George (Army - Vietnam), Lurker Bill, Cindy_True_Supporter, Eager, GunsAreOK, and myself, [Mr] T. As Jimmy Valentines Brother put it in the above Walter Reed AAR, ½ Trooprally. Obviously the better half not being out this Saturday.
FYI - [Mrs] T is doing well, recuperating after her shoulder surgery. She wont be out to Walter Reed or Olney till mid to late December. Hopefully shell be feeling well enough to take pics again in January. [Mrs] T thanks everyone for their prayers and well wishes.
BELOW LEFT: GunsAreOK and George holding down our extended left flank beyond Lurker Bills position. BELOW RIGHT: Cindy_True_Supporter and Eager. Eager sure picked a cold day to come out.
BELOW LEFT: Lurker Bill on our left flank looking cold. Now that is a well worn sign. BELOW RIGHT: Cindy_True_Supporter looking cold. Both though are warmed by the passing honks, waves and yells of support.
BELOW: George, Dennis and GunsAreOK in the back ground. We definitely do a lot of moving around, making sure we say Hi to each other as we show up and filling in gaps as we show up. When there are about a dozen or so show up, our corner gets crowded and we move to occupy the two vacant corners. Then the real honking and waving starts. We are visible to every car that comes through the intersection. Nothing static about our Patriots.

..another great report from great people!
Thanks for all you do....Happy Thanksgiving!
You’re Welcome from the Olney Patriots.
Turkey day is looking good for [Mrs] T and myself. Testing out our turkey fryer tomorrow. Couldn’t find any marinade in the stores so [Mrs] T made some up from scratch. Looks like we’ll have to order some over the either-net for our next fry day.
[Mr] T
..I'm sure you've heard all the warnings. Enjoy and relax..I may see you "on the line" sometime soon, I hope so
Yea, read the manual and our son also gave me some tips.
[Mr] T
Happy Thanksgiving!
WOW! Great job, you guys! You know I love that dedication!! I wish I lived close enough to come out regularly.
Good on all of you for being so brave. Yep, brave. It takes great dedication to stand out in the cold. Heat is one thing, but cold hurts.
Thank You from the Olney Patriots, and Kudos back at you with all you do with Families United. Also Thanks for helping out with one of our own, PrezUSA222, this past fall. I’m sure he and his family appreciated a welcome face so far from home.
[Mr] T
I wear the military poly-propylene type. Also Real good for breaking wing - that didn’t come out quite right. [Mrs] T also has a real good pair but not sure about the others. As you know, there is almost no way to stop the wind chill.
And Happy Turkey Day back at ya.
[Mr] T
Thank you all for doing this.
You are welcome from the Olney Patriots and Legionnaires.
