Teacher forces teens to question being 'straight'
WorldNetDaily ^ | December 02, 2008 | Drew Zahn

The mother of a Wisconsin teenager was stunned when her high school senior brought home a questionnaire assigned by his English teacher that asked, among several provocative questions, "Is it possible that your heterosexuality stems from a neurotic fear of others of the same sex?"

The mother, Marilyn Hanson, reviewed the questionnaire and thought it completely inappropriate for any class, but especially for a required English class, where, Hanson told WND, "They should be taught to read and write and prepare for college."

"I really believe this was outright indoctrination to the homosexual viewpoint," Hanson said. "I could see this being discussed in a debate class, where both sides were presented. But the other side was not presented."

Hanson told WND, "I think they're trying to shove [homosexuality] down our throats."

Hanson's son, Alex, originally thought he was required to complete the questionnaire for the next day's class. He was struggling, however, to answer the following questions:

I suppose I should add that I thought the operative theory among gays and lesbians was that sexual orientation is not something a person can choose or change. So is it or isn’t it?

I would physically assault any individual who asked such questions of my kids.

I don’t know what to think. In a weird way it kind of reads like satire. A very weird way, albeit. Just something very pecular about it.

Usually a liberal will show up to poison the thread by attacking World Net Daily.

Forget the onward march of filth and perversion by the liberal Public School System.

The time came forty years ago to eliminate the Public School System. It is a cesspool of indoctrination by the god-hating left.

I think I would have handled it differently. I would make a hundred copies and marched off to the school board meeting and handed them out. When admonished by the school board I would explain that that is what their teachers are handing out in class.

My memory isn’t what it used to be, but I believe that something similar happened three or four years ago.

Egads! Another step towards turning heteros into queers. Just a remember—being queer in ancient Greece was normal and the civilization was conquered.

I'll do it:

What do you think caused your heterosexuality?

Nature, as heterosexuality is the natural state of a species. Otherwise, there would be no higher species.

When and how did you decide you were a heterosexual??

When and how did I decide I like to breathe? It's the natural state, so I went with it.

Is it possible that your heterosexuality is just a phase you may grow out of??

No.

Is it possible that your heterosexuality stems from a neurotic fear of others of the same sex??

No. Even then neurosis by definition includes distress, but not an absense of rational thought.

Do your parents know that you are straight? Do your friends and/or roommate(s) know? How did they react??

Yes. Yes. How did they react when they found out I like to breathe?

Why do you insist on flaunting your heterosexuality? Can't you just be who you are and keep it quiet??

I guess you see simply being married to a woman as flaunting. But I also flaunt my preference to breathe in public constantly.

Why do heterosexuals feel compelled to seduce others into their lifestyles??

Heterosexual is the natural state, no seduction necessary. Homosexuals seduce. Some religious people try to bring homosexuals back to their natural state.

A disproportionate majority of child molesters are heterosexual. So you consider it safe to expose children to heterosexual teachers??

I guess you don't count NAMBLA as homosexual, instead classifying them as pedophiles and pederasts.

With all the societal support marriage receives, the divorce rate is spiraling. Why are there so few stable relationships among heterosexuals??

Promotion of the idea that "anything goes," which is the same idea that promotes homosexuality. Also, not long after the first gay marriage was the first gay divorce.

Statistics show that lesbians have the lowest incidence of sexually transmitted diseases. Is it really safe for a woman to maintain a heterosexual lifestyle and run the risk of disease and pregnancy??

Yes, it's safe, in a committed monogamous relationship, something you oppose.

Considering the menace of overpopulation, how could the human race survive if everyone were heterosexual??

I'll tell you it definitely won't survive if everyone's homosexual.

Would you want your child to be heterosexual, knowing the problems that s/he would face??

Absotively, posilutely YES! Fewer problems than if homosexual.

I bet I just failed this teacher's class, although I might survive because I didn't give any religious arguments against homosexuality.

I would have to ask the teacher if she is queer too.

Is it possible that even in small Wisconsin towns home schooling is the only thing?

Especially in small Wisconsin towns. They think they can get away with all kinds of looney stuff. Madison types think they need to bring the "hicks" up to speed.

I’m part of the 95% of the species that’s normal.

Interesting that 95% is two standard deviations from the mean, IOW, beyond that is aberrant. Intelligence distribution also counts past two standard deviations below the mean as mildly retarded (can be educated up to about the 8th grade level), so should we encourage that?

I read the whole article, and the questions are worse than the one shown here.

MY question is why is ONLY the one side included in the form given to students. Why isn’t there one asking “Why are you homosexual?”

“Those are the questions that gay people get, and the teacher is trying to turn them back around on the hetero kids to make them feel uncomfortable or to make some other point.”

That’s probably correct, but gay kids absolutely do not get these questions in middle school English classes, as one list to be answered together. Those might be questions straight society in general asks, or questions that come from various institutions in society, but those questions are asked in general, and not required of gay individuals to answer.

That was an aggressive, in-your-face stunt by that teacher, aimed at a bunch of 13 or 14 year olds whose attitudes toward gays she probably did not know, and she had no business using a classroom setting to meddle with the beliefs of kids in her class.

But the teacher might well get away with it, as screwed up so many of our institutions have become.

If this keeps up it will be as hard to get a parking garage for that thing as it is to find one in NYC for the family Beemer.
