Former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and other senior U.S. officials share much of the blame for detainee abuse at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq, and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, according to portions of a report released on Thursday by the Senate Armed Services Committee.

The report's executive summary, made public by the committee's Democratic chairman Sen. Carl Levin of Michigan and its top Republican Sen. John McCain of Arizona, said Rumsfeld contributed to the abuse by authorizing aggressive interrogation techniques at Guantanamo Bay on Dec. 2, 2002.

Great, McCain reminds us that he's the biggest RINO in Congress, joining with the Demagogues to trash the Bush admin. over terrorist prisoners.

Oh please.

Yeah, throw some undies around Rummy's neck as punishment. An eye for an eye.

Is it to late for Bush to award him the Medal of Freedom?

I’m telling you, four years from now we’ll be glad McCain lost this election. Because next time we’ll be able to run an actual republican.

It’s these bullsh!t “bipartisan” reports that cause the military to have to fight wars for eight years when they could have finished it in six months. The U.S. Congress is responsible for the deaths of more American military people than all of our enemies combined. The buffoons on Capitol Hill need to stick to their scandals and moneygrabbing and leave the fighting of our wars to the adults. These buffoons can take this “report” and shove it where the sun don’t shine.

I hope Bush is ready to give a blanket pardon to Rumsfeld. The left is going to be asking for his head as soon as Hussein is sworn in.

Above all else, I hope those border patrol agents get a pardon.

What a stupid pile of crap, I notice the papers are full of outrageous “reports” from democrats and I guess idiot RINOs in Congress.

I guess our soldiers in the field contributed to all this too, because they SHOT the stinking terrorists. Oy.

In some ways, better the Obamao then the Rino.

And this is the crux of the matter:

“The report found that the military derived the techniques from a Survival Evasion Resistance and Escape program, or SERE, which trains U.S. soldiers to resist enemy interrogation...”

We use those techniques on our own men in mere training.

McCain could use a large cup of STFU.

Alright. NOW I understand why some conservatives did not vote. I will never contribute to another RINO again for the sake of winning.

So easy to have 20/20 hindsight. Rumsfeld made mistakes but he always wanted to win the war.

"Interrogation techniques such as stripping detainees of their clothes, placing them in stress positions and using military working dogs to intimidate them"

For hardened thugs this sounds like a walk in the park.

More much ado about nothing.

What is frightening about all of this is that if we had today’s politicians during WWII, we would all be wishing each other either “Ohio gozaimusu” or “Guten morgen” in the morning instead of saying “Good morning”.

Our government remains badly, throroughly and totally broken and corrupt. How much longer do we tolerate the corruption and the disconnect between politicians and ethics, honor and morality?

Thank you Secretary Rumfsfeld (and whomever else contributed to the other days when it was applied)

The army found out about the abuse and everyone involved is doing hard time.

So Rumsfeld can’t be accused of not taking it seriously.

So my question is this: should someone seriously be doing hard time for putting panties on some guy’s head?

Really?

Fired, maybe. A few weeks in the brig, maybe. Lose a stripe, maybe, or in some cases even discharged. Hard time? No.
