Ammo Ban And Registration Proposal Getting Fresh Look
Right Side News Reports ^ | 12/15/08

Happy Holidays: Now dispose of all of your ammunition! Every last round! From now on, you will be able to buy only overpriced ammunition that will be registered to you in a government database. Not yet--at least for now. A small company, Ammunition Accountability--which wants to help anti-gunners price and regulate the Second Amendment out of existence, profit at the expense of our rights, or both--has found radical anti-gun legislators in 18 states willing to introduce bills pushing such nonsense. But few anti-gun proposals are so overtly aimed at destroying the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. As we began noting on http://www.nraila.org/ in January, so-called "encoded ammunition" or "serialized ammunition" bills would require ammunition manufacturers to engrave a serial number on the base of the bullet and the inside of the cartridge casing of each round of ammunition for popular sporting caliber center-fire rifles, all center-fire pistols, all .22 rimfire rifles and pistols, and all 12 gauge shotguns. In all but one of the bills, people would be

You might want to call ahead and check the in-store inventory before you burn off a tank of gas.

WTF??? let them prove otherwise ah. So where are the funds going to come from for your “teams of professional big-budget forensic investigators” to go to about 80 million homes of gun owners and tear their homes and yards apart looking for ammon. GET FING REAL!! The only ones that will get them taken away are the pansy asses that willingly turr them in and I won’t be one of them.

Quite simply once Obama takes away your guns you will be completely defenseless from his ‘civilian army’. Think of Hitler vs those who he put in concentration and death camps and I think you’ll get the idea.

AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHY EVERY SINGLE SOLITARY GUN ONWER MUST FIGHT THIS VIGOROUSLY AND NOT GIVE IN.

Whether we realize it or not, the election was a coup d’état by the socialists/communists. Hitler said it best:

“The most foolish mistake we would possibly make would be to allow the subject races to possess arms. History shows that all conquerors who have allowed their subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by so doing. Indeed, I would go so far as to say that the supply of arms to the underdogs is a sine qua non for the overthrow of any sovereignty. So let’s not have any native militia or native police. German troops alone will bear the sole responsibility for the maintenance of law and order throughout the occupied Russian territories, and a system of military strong-points must be evolved to cover the entire occupied country.” —Adolf Hitler, dinner talk on April 11, 1942, quoted in Hitler’s Table Talk 1941-44: His Private Conversations, Second Edition (1973), Pg. 425-426. Translated by Norman Cameron and R. H. Stevens. Introduced and with a new preface by H. R. Trevor-Roper. The original German papers were known as Bormann-Vermerke.

Its a ‘guy road trip’. Even if they don’t have loading equipment, we’re takin to the highway on an ‘adventure’.

When your 50, such qualifies as ‘adventure’ come to think of it....(chuckle)

btw, I’m driving an H2, I’ll never see gasoline as low as it is right this minute. Our last road trip was to see the Cubs play in Wrigley last summer.

Gas was 4.10 a gallon.

Right now, here in Ohio, its around 1.79.

Gotta go while those prices exist.

In that case, you might also consider a run to Camp Perry, and from there it’s not far to the Cabela’s outside of Detroit.

WTF??? let them prove otherwise

"Your terms are acceptable." Dude, that's their JOB. It's what they're paid to do.

Whether they'll do it on a vast scale is a separate issue. My point is that "oh, I lost it in a tragic boating accident / sold it to a complete stranger without papers / some other lame excuse" won't hinder the police, they'll see it as a red flag of guilt.

...WV...

I understood that ... but if it doesn't work out, remember the CMP store at Camp Perry, and then there's a Cabela's outside Detroit and another over in NW Indiana...

Make them explain WHY they are trampling on a fundamental part of the Constitution?

It's for your own good. Now eat your peas.

oBama may have to get behind the idea of a border fence. Guns...and I mean really “bad” guns...will pour into this country if he gets what he thinks he wants. They learned it the hard way in Britain. If it’s illegal to own a handgun, why not go whole hog and own a sub-machine gun? In for a penny....

Got it.

From where I am, the Wheeling store is just a tad over three hours away. The others are five to seven.

Great. Give ‘em ideas.
“Giving” ammo to another individual will be illegal with heavy fines and jail time.
Not reporting “stolen” or “lost” ammo within X hours of discovery will be illegal with heavy fines and jail time.
Buying ammo in calibers for weapons you don’t own will be...

Get the idea?

In a case like that, who cares? Execute ‘em both.
Too bad we don’t have guts...

Trust me...they’ve already thought of it. We have a “turn in your gun, no questions asked”...and we pay them. Word is they take the money and buy a better gun...on the street.

Back in the early 80s, I attended a speech by the late Arkady Shevchenko, then the highest ranking Soviet official to defect to the West. He had been their top guy at the UN.

He spoke, interestingly, at KENNESAW COLLEGE — and we all know what Kennesaw is famous for! I’m proud to have played a a small role in helping Mayor Darvin Purdy get that legislation through the Kennesaw City Council.

His talk dealt with the clear intent of the leadership of the old Soviet Union to somehow take America. He mentioned their ICBMs and the nuclear blackmail threat they posed.

Then he broke from his prepared remarks and offered the audience this wisdom:

“The leaders of my country are as AFRAID OF YOUR 200 MILLION PRIVATE FIREARMS as they are of your ICBMs. NEVER GIVE UP YOUR GUNS.”

Frankly — and, while he had to be careful as he was under FBI protection at the time, Shevchenko alluded to this in his remarks — I’m as concerned about some domestic tyrant (say, a Hillary, Barack HUSSEIN Obama or Chuck Schumer) as I am about some foreign enemy.

And it is THAT threat about which the Founding Fathers were concerned that prompted them to leave us the Second Amendment.

The BIG question is: WILL WE KEEP IT?
