Pat Robertson criticizes Bush, praises Obama

(CNN) – Pat Robertson is "remarkably pleased" with President-elect Barack Obama, the conservative leader told CNN’s Suzanne Malveaux – and believes President Bush’s administration has not dealt with the nation’s economic crisis in a “professional manner.”

“Well, it's hard to assess blame, but I, over the years — I hate to be critical, I mean I am a Republican, and this is the president of the party that I'm a member of — but I think we've had some serious goofs along the way,” he said on the Situation Room Tuesday.

“The Katrina matter was terrible. The rebuilding of Iraq has been terrible. The [handling] of the economy right now has been terrible. It hasn't been handled in what I would consider a professional manner.”

Robertson said history may be kinder to Bush than current opinion. “But I believe I would look at about a C-minus right now if I were grading him,” he said.

The evangelical leader has been a supporter of Bush's presidential campaigns.

“Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.”

So says The Boss, and as we are celebrating His birthday today, perhaps Pat Robertson, as a Christian, may wish to take notice.

I'll bet "most" of Robertson's "best friends are black."

Obama may be a Marxist but he's a BLACK Marxist so that makes him the greatest man to have ever lived. What a jerk!

bush gets a F, for me, but not for the reasons MSM want to use.

- Lack of leadership. Never responses to critics e.g the weapon of mass destruction

- scotus pick almost ended in disaster. Illustrate he takes his base for granted

- no child left behind, expansion of government

- didn’t pursue freddie and fannie strong enough

- $700bil bailout

- abbandon capitalism to save capitalism, wtf? Shows he was not a capitalist but a believer of government. Capitalist believes that in time of trouble, capitalist principles will save the day

- car industry bailout

Concerning Pat’s latest, I was thinking more along the lines of “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil”.

So, you think God is going to give him a C- for now, but may view him more favorably in the future, or will he give him positive reviews? Which do you mean to imply?

Pat Robertson is irrelevant. If he didn’t have something critical to say about Bush, no one would be interested in him. Likewise, as an envious, pop preacher, he has to praise the pop president. Let’s see how he loves the Kenyan demigod in a few years, if senility hasn’t wiped out the rest of his sense.

Maybe not. Pat’s comments will piss the gays off more. Remember though this is the guy who backed Rudy.

I mean to imply that Pat Robertson ought not to be wielding judgment on George W Bush unless Pat Robertson wants to be held to the same harsh standard that he appears to be wanting to use.

Where did you see that demonstrated?

I’d say GWB displayed superb leadership throughout his two terms.

An outgoing President is less useful than an incoming one.
