The Few, The Cold, The Patriots: Wk 157, Olney, MD 01-10-09: Op. Infinite FReep
Jan. 15,2009

Posted on 01/15/2009 4:51:08 PM PST by trooprally

Our numbers were small and got smaller as 2 of us left early for our Pro Israeli Rally in D.C., but we proudly stood our ground against an unexpected large number (9) of “Quackers”. Unexpected because we thought several of the moonbats would have gone down to D.C. to support Hamas.

Patriots in attendance Saturday were Legionnaire Halsey (USMC - Korea), Lurker Bill, 3DJoy, Cindy_True_Supporter, 3DJoy and myself.

Cindy_True_Supporter and I left around 11 AM since we needed to be in D.C. early to stake out our position. 3DJoy followed after the Olney FReep which had some excitement themselves . As Halsey, 3DJoy and Lurker Bill were taking our banners and flags down, a small group of Blue Star Mothers of Maryland came by with hot chocolate and donuts. A thankful treat after a cold morning. After taking things down, the group talked for about 15 minutes and broke up. The Maryland President stopped by our Troop Support Rally about a year ago and also brought hot chocolate at that time.

After breaking up, Lurker Bill braved some snow and sleet to go to Westminster. The clueless “maroons” never showed but L. Bill received kudos from passing cars. One Vet stopped and thanked him for being there. Another driver, a Vietnam Vet, turned around and drove back to thank L. Bill for being there.

BELOW LEFT: Cindy_True_Suppporter with sign also used in D.C. to support Israel. Maybe the Israeli flag and sign is what prompted so many one finger displays this morning. I know it was the focus of a lot in D.C., including some spitting from passing cars and yelling. BELOW RIGHT: 3DJoy looking warm.

BELOW LEFT: Halsey on our far left flank, always waving. BELOW RIGHT: Halsey always smiling. After Cindy_True_Supporter and I left early, Halsey consolidated our position by moving to our center.

BELOW: Lurker Bill - Can’t say enough about his support of our troops. He is a member of Soldier’s Angels.

The moonbats were out in strength today. At least in numbers only, but not in intelligence about the true threat to our freedoms. Freedoms they enjoy because of our brave armed forces keeping these United States free.

BELOW LEFT: Moonbats, jeez there are a lot of them. BELOW RIGHT: These two young kids walked by and stood with the moonbats for about 10 minutes. They are the true Clueless Morons. Hope they learn before its too late..

WARNING TO FREEPERS ATTENDING OLNEY

Some new money making SPEED CAMERAS have been installed on north bound Georgia Avenue right before you enter the main business district. Slow your speed after the light at King William Drive.

And a new one has been placed just south of Brookeville, between Brookeville and the Longwood Community Center.

REMEMBER
Next Saturday, same place, Georgia Avenue, MD Rte. 97 and MD Rte. 108 in Olney
NEW TIME - 10:15 AM to 11:45 AM

As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.

But a lot of verbal engagement in Olney is always welcome.

Yes, I did look warm in that hat!

I was so very cold the night before that it took a lot more layers to brave the weather again so soon.

I wish I had a big costume like that one on the tire advertisements to wear tomorrow night. Maybe an abominable snowman suit? I was even thinking of another appearance of “W” to say goodbye. (?)
