So, what are your plans for the coming debacle?
Vanity | January 18, 2009 | WCF

Posted on 01/18/2009 7:25:44 PM PST by WorkingClassFilth

This thread (if it survives the moderators) is meant to be an end of the Republic commemorative. Bracketed by end of the Julian calendar and the Chinese New year, I thought a repository of comments marking the rise of a new leftist messiah to be sardonic and fitting.

Before any FReepers hit the ABUSE button, please look around youself . . . with kooky vanities about just-the-right-puppy-breeds and the non-stop religious scripts and debates abounding on NEWS/ACTIVISM, I thought a simple question about what conservatives were personally considering doing during the promise of a new age of fascism might be worthwhile.
So, given that we're all of a conservative mindset and that (as adults) we all recognize what the next four years (or decade and beyond) might herald, I ask: What are your plans? Where do you plan to go and what do you plan to do in years of the coming darkness?

Interestingly, the PTB have divided the world into 10 REGIONS which will function more like countries.

I think NORTHAM is one such region.

That’s exactly what I think, too. God is still in control and He hasn’t let me down yet.

I’m doing the same, Salvation. I am not in the least bit interested in what the liberals are up to. This inauguration is a travesty. How many million are they spending on this ‘coronation’ ceremony? Enough to buy a bank...

You are exactly right. If we would humble ourselves and pray, as a nation, God will heal our land. Otherwise, we can expect judgement.

Will turn off any station that has anything of Obama on it. Sooner or later the media will get the message that we don’t want to hear about him.

Been doing that since it all started on Friday. This is the first time I've gone 3 days straight without watching Fox News or any news.

Read that passage again. It’s not the nation as a whole that needs to humble itself, just “my people, who are called by my name”.

That means US.

Mtn. Grove area is still pretty but not as isolated now with US 60, a dual highway going right near it. I don’t know if there are still mountain men around now but my forbearers would have qualified, as we have 8 generations in So. Missouri.

Ah, so 'civilization' is creeping into the 'back woods'.

I saw parts on History Channel yesterday RE: Hillbilly: The Real Story DVD Join host Billy Ray Cyrus on a journey into the hollers and runs of Appalachia to discover the proud legacy of the region's mountain folk. Hillbilly: The Real Story The two-hour special, hosted by celebrity Billy Ray Cyrus, brings these mythic people to life through stories that span 300 years.

And on one side most of my ancestors came to Missouri after the Civil War. This show depicted the 'mindset' that fits the 'tales' I have heard like that of the Appalachia mountain folk that were my ancestors. Some more 'civilized' than others.

Plan and act. We lost a battle. We have not lost the war.

We have most certainly lost the war. How? AMENSTY is coming. 20-30 million new voters (make no mistake that is the goal)

At this point, short of a civil war or secession there is no saving this nation.

The Reference to Franken-stein- is definitely an eye opener, and not surprising. The software is probably based on “key word” recognition. I would suspect that an occasional reference to a “key word” might fall under the radar. But an assumed number of “key words” would trigger a catalogue file database.

The one thing the goverment don’t have is enough humans manning the info to take advantage of all the info. The government freely admits they are short on certain language translators and overwhelmed with info.

An aquaintance of mine, former military, in summary said this “I know what the government is capable of doing to fight resistance. We don’t have a chance of organizing anything meaningful without access to military technology”.

Spy drones firing rockets cross border in Pakastan is a good example. They use satellite imagery with GPS co-ordination to make precision strikes. They can monitor movements easily from thousands of feet above with infared, gps etc. The high tech usually wins the battles. But only if the target is reckless it it’s movement.

We’re looking in the area west of Knoxville. Low property taxes; low cost of living. Rifle racks in trucks. Polite people — even the kids! Actually, I fly out of LAX tomorrow to check out some real estate...

...which brings up another problem. I’ll be in airports tomorrow. Trapped. Inauguration Day. CNN. Low gag threshold.

My plans are to enjoy what I have( because the government wants to take it and give it so someone else). Get to know God better(that is number one). The rest is to hunker down and see what happens.

corporations leave too much paperwork trails.
LLC sole proprietor is the way to go. gives one access to assets quickly if needed.

I don't know about ebay...

Two kinds of sellers there, the mega-seller, and the "I've got some stuff I need to get rid of and somebody might pay me a couple of bucks for it" seller. I've done well with both kinds of people, most of the former category are just independent entrepreneurs. In fact, as the retail outlets close, the only way to find parts or accessories for things that we've already got is to go to eBay.

Don't forget flea markets and the often scowled upon art of the dumpster dive. (it's not just for leftists anymore.)

That's funny, I was just thinking this weekend that we're going to have to adopt techniques that the Abbie Hoffman "Steal This Book" types were using forty years ago to try to end the Vietnam War! The only difference is that they were never going to be productive members of society, they were always going to suck off of a government teat no matter how things went, and we are the people who really produce things and make the world work. Our shutting down will have a much greater effect than the hippies dropping out.

Good luck with the garden! I'm going to see if I can get a couple of half whiskey barrels for the back deck to grow some yellow Finnish potatoes, I don't think the condo association would let us get away with anything less froo-froo!

A good place for survival equipment is RangerJoes.com
They have a lot of military and SWAT grade items and are fairly reasonable in price.
