We might have just arrived at the tipping point -- the critical mass to get Obama to release his birth certificate.
Four Tennessee legislators have signed on as plaintiffs in a lawsuit forcing Obama to prove his US citizenship.
Two more legislators have publicly announced they will also join the suit, one from Arizona, the other from New Hampshire.
Tonight, we talk to two of the Tennessee legislators, and the attorney bringing the suit forward.
Don't miss it -- we hit the ground running at 9 p.m. ET.
Obama - natural born citizen?
How do you know he did show either his BC, passport or other document to one of the secretaries of state?
After that the courts found that no one has standing to sue Obama to produce such documentation.
This is very basic. Courts do not allow people to sue unless they have standing. To have standing, you have to show that you have an interest in the case that is greater than that of the general public at large. This is a very long-standing rule and standard in our court system, and it is there for good reason. The courts could not function if any private citizen could sue any public official over any matter that affects the public at large. No court system could handle such a caseload.
That is why we have a political process (i.e. elections & elected officials) to handle matters that concern the public at large. The courts have no business intervening in such things. This is all part of the conservative doctrine of judicial restraint.
If one of the electors or secretaries of state were not satisfied with Obama's elgibility, and wanted proof, they would have standing. But not a single one of them has raised the issue.
Why do you suppose that is? Are all 50 secretaries of state, and all 400+ electors in on some huge conspiracy?
A big affirmative action fan, don’tchaknow. ‘He don’t need no stinkin’ birth certificate. He say he’s American through and through. It’s just people demandin’ this shyte from The One. Let ‘um read comix, the forgeries are good nuff.’
Thank you so much for your reply.
I am looking forward to more good news tomorrow.
Don’t read much?
I didn't say that he did. In fact I implied the opposite. Reread what I wrote. I was trying to contrast how Obama' applications for ballot access were treated compared to ordinary mundane things that ordinary citizens have to do. I talked to one of the top legal advisors to the Texas GOP last summer. He said its pracically impossible for anyone to have standing to sue a candidate's qualifications. He also said that all a candidate has to do is to say he meets all the qualifications - not actually have to document them.
Thanks for your help —
where the HELL were these people six months ago???!!!!
You seem to have a considerable amount of negative comments pertaining to those who think Obama’s birth certificate is bogus. I gathered that from your “in forum” section. Are you a certified authority on that subject with 100% proof? If so, then you calling those who question Obama’s birth certificate as a tinfoil hat thing is right. If not, then your word is based on pure speculation which is what you are calling those with whom you disagree with.
Shoot, they could come up with something but how do we know it’s absolute proof? He’s under a large umbrella of USA destroying vermin.

I just pray that the legislators get wind of the DoD “Civilian Force” that was directed on Jan 23, 2009 and wake the hell up!
They are going to be complicit in a major coup, if not already.
Things are not just a different idealogue of liberal or conservative, this is the edge of a cliff.
I’m not sure all those at DU will be real happy with taking their mandatory civilian force training as Rahm Emmanuel wants.
You took your time, but you finally got here to protect your messiah. We seem to be running you ragged lately.
Hopefully, we will see “the snowball effect” here and more and more elected officials will join in enforcing the Constitution.
I’ve asked my legislator to look into it as well and he’s a democrat. Actually a good guy and the only democrat in the state to vote against the interstate voting compact.
I’m getting ready to tune in...I hope others will be commenting.
Glenn Beck appears to be coming around. He's starting to figure out what this isn't.
And we have proof that Barry will sign a fraud, since he signed the app for IL Bar Assoc. claiming he used on Barack Hussein Obama in the past. Did he forget the other names he’s used? Naw, he ain’t THAT dumb.
Remember that it was Republicans who blocked questioning in some cases, as it was clear that McCain had made filing errors that would have cost him red-state votes if challenged (e.g., if the letter of the law had been followed, Bob Barr would have gotten the Texas electors).
