I really like Glenn Beck, but I can’t listen to him because he’s so apocalyptic - the end of the world is always just next week.

That is true.

I felt the very same way when he was talking about what is happening now, over a year before it happened.

So I pretty much take what he says very seriously.

good idea, unless the government does to you what it did to all Americans in 1933, and takes it from you, via executive order.

Try #3 And just a quick fyi, the projected date was 2014.

I caught that one live on Friday. CSM Tim Strong (ret) and Mike Scheuer (CIA, Bin Laden Unit) just about spilled the beans towards the last part of the interview. Actually, they did.

He was talking about the guy that defended himself against the criminal illegal alien border and immigration law felons that got sued by, get this, illegal aliens. So the subject is what happens when u.S. citizens protect their property and lives against those very same criminal illegal alien border and immigration law felons? What are the resulting second and third level effects?

When Glen asked the question about the effects of citizens refusing to allow a federal force, (ATF, etc) to unconstitutionally arrest citizens defending themselves against illegals and invaders the answer got very interesting. That secondary effect being once a few people are arrested in a general effort against “orderly citizens” (because basically they are easy to arrest) the second and third level effect would be a general armed response against the federals.

Then Glen asked “the question.”

“Will the military start rounding up Americans or do they fight with Americans (against an out of control government)." Both Tim Strong and Mike Scheuer went silent.

That silence was deafening in what it meant. Then once they gathered themselves both stated that as a general rule the military would not fight Americans.

What they did not say was that there would be no fighting.

An armed conflict so American citizens can retain their rights is exactly what they both expect.

Old silver coinage(pre-1965 dimes, quarters, halves) would be easier to barter with than gold.

It’s already denominated, easy to store, easy to carry, and is always welcome.

When paper becomes worthless, silver coins rule.

OMNI magazine once had an issue where a think tank predicted the future.

I don’t know if OMNI Magazine is available in archive online.

it had many of these types of scenarios.

Scary stuff...what is particularly worrisome is that much of what they are talking about is already happening. I am not sure that I believe the one analyst who predicts a higher risk of major war because Netanyahou is Prime Minister. Indeed, I think Isreal now has a chance of surviving, where they had a lower chance with “liberal” government. Many people do not seem to understand that no matter what concessions Isreal makes, no matter how far they go to making “peace” that there will be no peace for them. These muslim countries are intent on the destruction of Isreal. Why our democrat party ignores that is beyond me. And, why Jews in the US support the democrat party is one of the sickest alliances in history. I suppose there were some Jews who supported the Nazi’s but not the overwhelming numbers that support the democrats here in this time, but the risk to their existance is about the same.

I think it is pretty simple, really. The left operates on the principle that all activity is economically driven, and that the only reasons for antipathy between the Israelies and the “Palestinians” is that the “Palestinians” have been economically downtrodden. Therefore, all that has to be done is to throw money at the “Palestinians” and they will be happy.

This is a stupid and irrational basis for human action, but it is what the left takes as its basic assumption. They pretty much ignore religion as a motivator, except to denigrate it as only for stupid, ignorant, and irrelevant people.

I think that you are right silver will be king, because it will be easier to trade for a loaf of bread or ammo.

Instead of gold, I buy simple items each payday. A duel fuel burner, a lantern, spam, rice, beans, tobacco plug, etc. Come Monday, all of my mutual funds are being switched over to money market. Oh, adding a .22 LR rifle to the mix today. I am an active duty officer (about to put on O-5) and I can tell you, I will never fire on an American while wearing a uniform, or order someone to do so.

>>”When paper becomes worthless, silver coins rule.”<<

exit82, xmission and Clarence are right. It is not a good time to be buying gold.

I laugh every time I see the commercials on TV telling us that “experts predict that gold will go to $1500-$2000 an ounce.” “Buy now before it’s too late.” blah, blah....

Ask yourself if it’s going to go that high, why are they selling now? Shouldn’t they be buying? Millions of dollars spent in advertising while they should be listening to their own “experts” and sit on their gold until it does what they predict.

IMO, it is a good time to be selling your gold and converting it into something more fluid like silver coins, guns, ammo, food, gardening equipment, paying off debts etc.

That's good, but what if your warrant fictitiously states that you are out to capture a baby-raping psychotic cop-killing terrorist that just killed and ate his grandmother?

How do you know if the charges are true or if they're just trumped up by your superiors?

"...as a general rule the military would not fight Americans."

The military takes an oath and most in the military take the oath seriously. At what point would someone be considered a domestic enemy first and an American second or no longer an American in good standing, but an American traitor?

I think this program will be rebroadcast today and I need to tape it.
