I can remember Judy Brown, in a March For Life brochure, bashing Ronald Reagan for some of his cabinet picks.

We have politically incompetent prolife leaders and we have people who know what they are doing.

If the National Right to Life Committee bashes Brownback, I will listen to them.

I will not listen to very many other people, on this issue.

Few know as much about it, as I do.

Ronald Reagan gave us Sandra Day O’Connor, Antonin Scalia and Anthony Kennedy. That’s a 1 for 3 record on the issue on that scorecard. I think he exposed himself to a fair amount of criticism on life issues through that decision and others like it.

I don’t know Judy Brown or criticisms—they may well have been intemperate—but it’s certain that Reagan left room for criticism on life issues.

When politicians grant aid and comfort to the architects of the modern Holocaust without compelling evidence that they are avoiding a worse alternative they compel me to review my support for them.

If this is “zealotry” make the most of it.

It was not possible for Reagan to get a died in the wool prolifer through the Senate.
Yes, he could have done a bit better, but he did not deserve the bitter attacks from the radical prolifers who do not play the political game very well.
I recall that the attack was directed primarily, at the time, against Colin Powell, not a SCOTUS appointment.

Can you name a single pro-life leader who HAS supported Brownback on this?

What was Scalia, then?

There was no excuse for O’Connor; he went with her because of her ovaries, not her legal opinions, which are largely nugatory.

Sorry, your type of “political maneuvering” thought process is what’s led to the confusion and corruption of this country.

The issue is simple for Brownback. Is abortion right or wrong? Does he support radical pro-abortion politicians or not?

Is he leading from principles or a PR machine?

If Brownback had come out as the first opponent of Sebelius, Brownback would be the story.
That would be stupid.
I want Kansas liberals to be embarrassed.
I will not defend Sebelius, I want the national spotlight on Sebelius, she is horrible.
The MSM in Kansas is horrible as well.
They now can not blame Brownback or Roberts for the Tiller issues.
The moderates, in Kansas, will now be on the hot seat, and feel the national pressure to shut Tiller down.

If Brownback and Roberts took the lead on this, the media and the “Saul Alinsky” Obama Adminstration would have made the issue about Brownback.

I do not take my stand with a smile on my face. It is a tough call, but -— I want the firestorm about Sebelius and I will not defend her. I just refuse to let this issue hurt good prolifers who are in a tough spot, without sicking up for them.

My motive is to defend Brownback and Roberts, who both know Kansas politics and the Kansas media better than any of you.

It really is just that simple. There’s no legitimate reason to make it sound complicated and confusing.

Please explain how making Sebelius Secretary of HHS where she can pursue a militant abortion agenda while being cheered by Zero and the media will in any way "embarrass" her.

They now can not blame Brownback or Roberts for the Tiller issues.

Huh? Brownback and Roberts just endorsed Tiller's biggest defender.

The Kansas media, and the national media, can not blame the Sebelius dirty laundry on Kline or Brownback or Roberts.

If a Kansan was leading the charge, against her, I guarantee that the Alinsky method would be used against that poor sap.

I respect the tactic, but I don’t believe he had to come out and endorse her—he’s not even on the primary confirming committee.

I am curious as to his thinking process, as well.

But, I trust he had good intentions and honorable motives.

And
Let me apologize if I have come off as a little rough.
I have PTSD

Post Traumatic Sebelius Disorder

I will justify just about anything to get her out of Kansas, and I admit it!

**Brownback waffles but will vote to confirm Sebelius**

No way!!!!!! Does he want to excommunicate himself too? Archbishop Naumann has already told Sebelius that she cannot receive Communion — efectively excommunicating her.

This poor excuse for a man wants it both ways — he prays to the Dark Lord Cuomo on this one. He is worthy of contempt.

“Despite our profound policy differences, I will support my fellow Kansan.”

George Tiller the death doctor of Wichita is "a fellow Kansan" too. How ya like him, Sam? Supporting him too?

What squat.

Sam still thinks he's presidential material

He can think what he wants. His "candidacy" in 2008 was stone cold dead before he pulled this stinkeroo. Wonder how he thinks this backstab will help him.
