Did you notice how expensive ground beef is? And ham, sausage, etc. Heck, all of this stuff is expensive.
I don't think heating oil is cheap, especially during colder months. So the existence of moose and caribou to eat is likely an essential.
Human survival is controversial in the liberal media.
Her shopping list looks like that of the tin foil hat survivalist gurus around here. Don’t worry guys, when it happens, I won’t be coming to your bunkers begging for cubes of beef broth.
Whoa! And I thought my grocery bill was high. Seriously, you could save a lot of money by using cloth diapers. Just sayin’.
Yeah, I’m surprised someone didn’t think of that.
But they save money by hunting caribou and moose.
What a wonderful story. About half way through I started to worry and sweat that the snow machine might not start up again.
My wife says from time to time that we should live closer to the supermarket, we are about 3 miles away from a Stop & Shop. We live in Cape Cod. I guess were not really tough citizens. The only thing similar to Ann Strongheart and us is the price of food.
More than $13 for a jar of Mayo?
Along the Yukon, gas is %5.50, milkman that was 25 bucks in anchorage is 75 bucks in our village; figure 3X everything. Wolves are regular land sharks; clean the country outta all moose and really put a hurtin on the caribou. Then wolves starve, eat each other and disappear. moose move back in, build up, cycle repeats. Trouble is people have increased and depend on eating the moose or pay 20 bucks a lb for ground meat. So unless 90% of the people on this earth aren’t ready to give up their spot, they better start controlling the dang wolves.
That was a weird post, what was unusual about her grocery purchases?
My post targeted at the guys who claim that they are stockpiling food for some kind of End-of-the-World scenario.
Like I said it was a weird post and didn’t make sense, her grocery list was normal. Your second post was just as odd.
