Sometimes, if you're paying attention, you can watch an event as it unfolds and see that, even if you are unsure of the outcome, the world you know has been changed forever. I'm sure somewhere in 1914 someone said, "Well, now that they've killed the Archduke Ferdinand, the whole world will go to war." Well, last night someone assassinated Fox's X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and it is the shot heard 'round the movie blogosphere. Someone released a DVD-quality, watermark and timecode-free copy of Fox's summer tent-pole blockbuster to the torrents. While the film is a work print (with incomplete effects, temp music, and it's rumored to be 14 minutes shorter than the final version), it is still the bulk of the film.

They keep shutting down links to the movie but new ones keep popping up. I think the Genie is out of the bottle.

A DVD quality version of “Taken” was available for months on the net before its release in the US yet its made nearly 130 million in the US alone.

Makes you wonder who the movie studios are hiring for help nowadays. Security is lousy.

With all that has been happening lately, when you say “Wolverine”, I think “Red Dawn”.
And I actually named my middle daughter Storm after the Xmen character, so that’s how worried I have been about things!

There’s a conspiracy theory going around that it was “leaked” on purpose since early test screenings had gone badly. In fact, entire large setpiece scenes were re-shot due to such negative audience feedback.
This way it could get widely “test-screened” and the studios could see via internet buzz how it was going to do at the B.O.

As for Wolverine, I don't have anything against Hugh Jackman, but anything that hastens the demise of Hollywood or takes money out of the pockets of it's leftist producers, I'm all for.

If so, it might not be labeled as an action flick.. More like a tearjerker.

Well, that's not very nice.
Hollow-wood is going to release The Three Stooges. It will probably be about a successful as their new release of The Honeymooners in 2005.
[The Honeymooners 2005 made nearly $13 million. It had a budget of $25 million.]
If The Three Stooges doesn't make it, they will probably try another rendition of The War of the Worlds. When they really get desperate, they will remake Gigli.
lol

With all of the leftiests in Hollyweird and those amoung them who think profits are evil, I think it serves them right.
Same with the music industry.

The Producer deserves a swift kick in the ass like this for paying so little attention to his own security. You get exactly what you pay for....
