Time will tell. It’s to early to be guessing now, IMHO. Besides, the Dodd saga has more to come. Both contests will depend on who their primary opponent turns out to be.
Silly me. I should have thought of that. ROFLOL
Thanks, Snugs! Beautiful!
Happy Easter and Passover to all!
Let Us Thank The Somali Pirates
If Obama fails to take action, watch for Russia to make a move on the Ukraine. China will get more aggressive toward Taiwan. Iran will openly throw sandals at Obama effigies, and the rest of the world will realize — uh-oh, no more cop on the international beat. North Korea will launch another missile over Japan — pahdon me, another satellite launch will somehow go astray, heading toward Hawaii.
That means one of two things: either the aggressors start winning, or somebody else has to play the international cop — the role the United States has carried for sixty years.
So who do you want to play the world’s cop?
Russia will happily volunteer do it for Europe, since Europe won’t do it for itself. China could squeeze concessions from Japan and South Korea to stop the Norks. And in the Middle East it will either be Israel — which can protect the Arab countries from nuclear attack by Iran — or it will be the mad mullahs of Qom. I would guess that the Israelis will bomb Iranian nuclear facilities, with the covert help of Arab Gulf states.
Fixed it ...... ;)
A blessed and peaceful Easter to all....
Pat, that’s a very good story, and in all the agony of what your husband and you suffered from, which you shared with us, we felt it, too.
There is a message from God in this story. Something to ponder and think about. Thanks for this, really!
Dodd has ACORN. McCain will not have an assist.
Dole was bad. Dole....because of him I voted for Perot. Husband voted for Clinton. Neither of us are proud of that.
McCain saved it by nominating Palin.
What do you expect from someone whose toughest decision prior to January was "paper or plastic"?
Sarkozy has the right idea for dealing with them, too. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have much backup.
Obummer is still waiting for the results of the Global Vote. Still too close to call. This is the Smarter Presidency.
Happy Easter
The Obamas’ one dog-related sticking point, now that the breed is decided, is the new pet's name, People reports:
“Oh, the names are really bad. I don't even want to mention it, because there are names floating around and they're bad,” Mrs. Obama says with a laugh. “You listen and you go - like, I think, Frank was one of them. Frank! Moose was another one of them. Moose. I said, well, what if the dog isn't a moose? Moose. I'm like, no, come on, let's work with the names a little bit.”
Frank.... FRANK????HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM wonder who chose that one? Name the black dog after his Commie mentor Frank Marshall Davis?
PW dogs working drive demands consistent attention in the form of regular vigorous exercise and mental challenges. They are not to be mistaken for “couch potatoes”. The can be yappy, their coat mats and has to be brushed a lot to avoid mats. This is a working dog. Bad choice for the lifestyle in the WH. They are also bad chewers, especially if they get bored and they get bored easily. My cousin had 2 of them. She loved them but said never again. Too demanding, too wild, too high maintenance.
AH, I see the number has shrunk to two. That bowing to the Saudi king and the rest of his foreign faux pas must have trickled through to the public.
Excellent .. and totally correct. Thank you. This IS a test, among so many now, the buffoon Biden knew would happen .. or maybe he was hoping would happen. I expect the plate of challenges in front of the 0 and his marxist crew will only increase in volume, intensity and risk. God help us.
The eyes of the world .............
I doubt a PWD will be any less maintenance than Miss Michelle already is around the White House. I would think the Secret Service have their hands full, keeping her from chewing the furniture and tearing things up.
I have a working dog, an English shepherd (sort of looks like a border collie, but has a wide eye in herding rather than the close eye of border collies).
I was prepared to work a lot with the dog, but it is still overwhelming some days. She is smart, requires lots of attention and excercise, and you have to pay attention every minute (as I discovered last week when she managed to get a cabinet door open and spill an entire bottle of syrup in the center of the family room carpet).
Soomeone on the staff will be the real owner of this dog. The girls will see CHARLIE (I refuse to use their stupid name for him) maybe once a day for an hour or so. Hopefully there is a young non-political permanent staffer who will take charge of the dog, from the usher’s office or something. Poor Charlie. I hope the staff takes care of him well.
I have a suspicion however that soon Benjamin Netanyahu will show how to deal with terrorists.
