(Washington, DC) -- Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is rapidly losing popularity.
A telephone poll taken late last week shows 48-percent of Americans don't approve of how Pelosi is doing her job.
The CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll comes as the California Democrat faces intense criticism over what she knew and when about government use of enhanced interrogation techniques.
Last week, Pelosi said in a news conference that the CIA lied to Congress in 2002 and 2003 about its use of interrogation methods like waterboarding on terror suspects.
Pelosi's new 39-percent approval rating makes her less popular than other congressional Democrats, who got 51-percent approval from respondents to the April CNN/ORC survey.
The rating also puts her at about the same approval level that former House Speaker Newt Gingrich had in 1995 during his first year in that job.

Excellent remark Newt did it in ‘94. The GOP under Steele should follow through on this plan. The Dems corruption in our economy(Freddie and Fannie), dissing the CIA , the NSA, the military should be exposed on a daily level.
The other half don’t want to admit they never heard of Pelosi and don’t know what house she’s speaking for, so they just said “she’s doing a great job,” rather than admit their ignorance.

The other half doesn’t pay attention to this stuff. If Katie Couric doesn’t cover it, then many people don’t know it happened. This is how Nobama got elected, after all...

What you are seeing are the eyes of a shark. Pelousy is a cockroach, though.
The other half are Bush obsessed liberals and those who don't know who she is.
Middle America finds nothing wrong with Pelosi or Obama. Middle American sees and hears nothing wrong with Pelosi and Obama. Pelosi could be eating the babies aborted by Obama using knives purchased by the Catholic church, and middle America would still reelect both these vermin.
Only when the MSM is destroyed will America have a chance to return to a nation where middle American understands and votes for liberty.
Forums of conservative talk are in the noise, compared to the power and voice of the MSM and its promotion of the evils of secular progressive ideology.
It does no good for Rush and Fox and Free Republican commentators to rail on and on about Pelosi. Middle America doesn’t listen to Rush or Fox, and doesn’t read FR. Middle America gets its world view at the top of the hour 24 times a day on FM radio, and in the first three paragraphs of the top of the fold stories in the thousands of local rags. Conservatives need to stop directing their ire at the morons and tyrants on the left, and start directing their energies on toppling the MSM. Topple the great enabler, and the morons and tyrants won’t get past local political offices.
