They Were Just Interesting FReeps: Wk 177 & 178, Olney, MD 05-30/06-06--09 - Op Infinite FReep

I’m almost glad that I missed the previous week’s AAR. There were a lot of interesting things that happened during these two Support the Troop Rallies and they kinda ran together. Other than the list of patriots, I’m not going to separate the two weeks. But if you look at the sky, Week 177 was sunny, and Week 178 was over cast.

Week 177 roll call of our 9 Patriots included Sophia, Legionnaires Dave (Army WWII) and friend Janet, and Ed, (Army - WWII), Lurker Bill, and FReepers Cindy_True_Supporter, Fraxinus, {Mrs} Trooprally, aka [Mrs] T, and myself, [Mr] T.

MOONBATs: ZERO

WEEK 178 roll call of our 9 Patriots included Rosita, Marti (more on them below), Legionnaires Glenn (USMC, Iwo Jima - WWII) and Frank (Army - Korea), Lurker Bill, FReepers Cindy_True_Supporter, Eager {Mrs} Trooprally, aka [Mrs] T, and myself, [Mr] T.

MOONBATs: Six as their numbers drop from a high of 12 immediately after their “Peace Conference” some weeks ago.

Thanks to [Mrs] T for taking and processing the pictures for these two weeks.

First, Jim Tyson of “Fueled By The Fallen”. This organization’s mission is to help the families of fallen and injured heroes and asked if we spread the word. BELOW is one of the organization’s cars as Jim leaves.

And there was a reporter, Allen Abel, contributor to Canadian National Post and Winnipeg Free Press. He lives in Olney and covers the White House. He interviewed us but the moonbats didn’t show up this week. He came back the following week to interview the moonbats. He’ll be emailing me with his article when written and I’ll link to it. The few articles I read of his, he seems to write in a fair manner, writing the news, not making it up.

And Sophia, future FReeper Wild Herb, (BELOW) who is a Desert Storm vet. She was also at Walter Reed the night before. She is natural when it comes to supporting her fellow troops.

BELOW LEFT: And Rosita, a local and mother of a wounded Iraqi Vet, who is starting a new organization, Helping Hometown Heroes. Her mission is to help adapt homes to accommodate a soldier’s specific needs. We’ll keep you apprised of her organization as it gets organized. BELOW RIGHT: Rosita with her friend, Marti, another local. If you hadn’t guessed, Rosita’s son is with the 82nd Airborne. Both are also naturals when it comes to supporting our troops. They occupied my normal right flank position so I held down our center.

As we were breaking up this past week, a car stalled right in front of us. Actually the lady ran out of gas. So being regular FReepers and without hesitation, part of our group (BELOW) pushed her up to the gas station. She soon returned with a bag of drinks to show her appreciation. Since we were just about done breaking down, we took the drinks to our Pvt. Long White House Freep by GunsAreOK.

WARNING TO FREEPERS ATTENDING OLNEY

Some new money making SPEED CAMERAS have been installed on north bound Georgia Avenue right before you enter the main business district. Slow your speed after the light at King William Drive.

And a new one has been placed just south of Brookeville, between Brookeville and the Longwood Community Center.

As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.

But a lot of verbal engagement in Olney is always welcome.

We are getting a lot more new faces. Maybe people felt comfortable about Bush’s support for our troops but now feel they have to show support since Obambi won’t.

Oh gee, I just saw that I typod the Lord’s name. I’m in trouble with the Boss now. I’m to be forgiven however. Tonight was opening night of Hansel & Gretel stage production, directed by moi. Great opening night. Everyone remembered most of their lines. Even my grumpy husband enjoyed it. Whew! What a stress this thing has been on me. I’m way too old for this kind of pressure. I refuse to direct another one.

I see you are reading FR to wind down. Congrates on your play. When someone as close as you are to something like this gives a good review, it must have been really good. Only you know where all the ‘mistakes’ were that no one else saw.
