Bestseller Paperback List, The Times did not review Jonah Goldberg's "Liberal Fascism", Glenn Beck's "An Inconvenient Book" and Marcus Luttrell's "Lone Survivor".

(Excerpt) Read more at nytimes.com ...

TOPICS: Culture/Society; News/Current Events
KEYWORDS: beck; bias; bookreview; conservative; goldberg; liberalfascism; luttrell; marklevin; newsblackout
All huge sellers with powerful, timely and very relevant messages but promote a point of view that the Times violently disagrees with.

Is there a pattern?

The pattern is one of cowardice. If they felt “safe” reviewing conservative books they would but they fear even a bad review will lead people to take a look for themselves.

The “ideals” of the left can’t stand up to scrutiny so they do what they can to steer thier cattle to their own little feedlot.

Think about it CC, how could they review it... they know nothing about it and it’s too scary to open them.

This is a good thing. If they reviewed them, without a doubt they would be negative reviews, and then we’d all be sitting here complaining about the biased review. I much prefer that they just pass on the review.

Perhaps they lack the intelligence to understand those books, much less review them.

And BTW, Goldberg’s Liberal Fascism is one of the best political books I have read in a very long time.

I think the free markets quit reviewing the NY Times years ago. Millions in debt.

Why should they review those books? The Times readers wouldn’t be buying them anyway.

“Is there a pattern?”

Yep, terminal stupidity and bias that speeds the NY Slimes along its way into the liberal cesspool of history.

When these books have large readership/ownership, only the stupid and suicidal MSM mediots would refuse to review these books in a fair and unbiased manner.

In the world of the liberal, these books cannot exist. Their existence really annoys liberals, so they make them “not exist” whenever they can.

shameless self-promo:

My site rates books by reader reviews. Liberty and Tyranny is doing quite well, Liberal Fascism a bit less so.

In the NYT's world, conservative books are simply not "serious" books.

They are yahoo rube tomes, as relevant to political discourse as NASCAR is to yachting.
