After watching Sarah plain get savaged by Letterman and seeing her stalwart defense of her daughter, it had become apparent that the left needed a check. Over at doubleplusundead, there was an excellent post about counter punching: http://doubleplusundead.mee.nu/a_tribute_to_not_backing_down
I decided that it was time to put some liberal lies to rest. The first will be this despicable fraud they are laying on Rush Limbaugh.
Both versions of these quotes are frauds:
"You know who deserves a posthumous Medal of Honor? James Earl Ray. We miss you, James. Godspeed."
"You know who deserves a posthumous Medal of Honor? James Earl Ray [the confessed assassin of Martin Luther King]. We miss you, James. Godspeed."
Yet the liberals continue to spout this, even on MSNBC.
Google both versions and prepare to be amazed at the hive mind of liberalism.
It is destroyed in this post:

I emailed Rush and several of the offenders to see if they wanted to retract the slur.
Here is Jack Huberman's Post on Huff Po with the lie: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jack-huberman/rush-limbaugh-is-still-sc_b_24724.html
Here he is at The Nation, where they plug his book that contains his lie: http://www.thenation.com/directory/bios/jack_huberman
David Michael Green of Hofstra University spread this filth. http://informationclearinghouse.info/article22776.htm
http://www.hofstra.edu/Home/News/UR/PressRoom/proom_green.html
Many of these instances contain the inclusion of the "slavery" quote among others.
Professor Randall Amster of Prescott college re-told the tale here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/randall-amster/rush-still-shovel-ready-a_b_173651.html
His bio at Prescott: http://www.prescott.edu/faculty_staff/faculty/rdp.html#amster
Casey Gane-McCalla provides a list containing two lies, possibly three, and the rest taken way out of context or apologized for by Rush himself. I could not find a way to contact him. However, he is on the Huffington Post as well, so maybe hit them up. http://newsone.blackplanet.com/elections/top-10-racist-limbaugh-quotes/
Then there is OpEdNews, which repeats the lie all over again: http://www.opednews.com/articles/Rush-Still-Shovel-Ready-A-by-Randall-Amster-090312-923.html
Last of all is Rachael Maddow saying this crap on the video posted on my site. Here it is, the lie is at 1:26 into the clip: http://www.andimright.com/?p=345
Email or contact these people and demand that apologize and retract this lie. Challenge this falsehood at every forum, you may even see me there.

"Cry 'Havoc,' and let slip the dogs of war"
You might add, not a quote, but the alluding that Rush called Chelsea the WH dog.
It seems truthful to state that those who attribute to Rush things he never said, have actually said those things themselves. It would be fair to quote them as being the authors of those statements. If enough incidences of attributing the offending quotes to the authors you mention, google will archive and catalog the quotes. It might eventually come to pass that those you mention will become the original source for the offensive quotes, blackening their own reputations.
"All Republicans should be lined up against the nearest wall and shot, just the way my Heroes Fidel and Raoul used to do! In fact I'll volunteer to be in the firing squad if someone will teach me to use one of those 9 mm. machine gun assault pistol thingies!"
I was deep in liberal territory today in Youngstown Ohio, and that was all the chatter on their AM.
Letterman made a joke, but Limbaugh...
It was really pathetic. 2 separate shows tried this theme. No one called in.
I think she and Jon Stewart are the same person.
This might have been more amazing a year or two ago but since watching the cult of Obama take over the country? It's old news.
“Letterman made a joke, but Limbaugh...”
Liberals use Limbaugh as a defacto voice of Republicans/Conservatives.
Letterman would make an excellent voice/face of Democrats/Liberals/progressives.
Letterman acts badly and the Left demonizes The Palins and Rush.
Lets talks crap about the Obama girls..no? Its off limits?
Their Daddy gave em a pass to fool around. Heavens knows they could make a mistake.
Here is the problem with libs.
They demonize you as a hypocrite if you are human and fall short.
It is difficult for us to deminize them if they get morals.
“It is difficult for us to deminize them if they get morals.”
There were reasons the Roman Empire fell.
Sigh...
I sent an email to the Nation taking them to task for Huberman.
“Sigh...”
¡SI! :)
she wasn’t? i thought she knocked up by vince foster.
The following is what actually happened:
On his TV show in 1992, a few days after the Presidential election, Rush Limbaugh was reviewing In/Out lists (a popular fad at the time):
In todays New York Daily News right here its the obligatory in-out list. Every time theres a massive change somewhere, people are in, people are out. Im now out. It says about me on here, Rush Limbaugh, loud-mouthed conservative and Bush favorite. Hes out.
Rush commented that most of the other things on the days list were not funny, but that one of them in particular was. Rush quoted from the David Hinckley article
In: A cute kid in the White House. Out: Cute dog in the White House.Could could we see the cute kid? Lets take a look at see who is the cute kid in the White House.
A picture of the cute dog (Millie) appeared on the screen instead of the cute kid (Chelsea).
Rush immediately said
No, no, no. Thats not the kid.
Then a picture of Chelsea Clinton came on the screen and Rush said
Thats thats the kid.
A good deal more explanation of the whole thing is at the link. I was told the other day that Rush fired that technician but that isn't in this article.
“she wasnt? i thought she knocked up by vince foster”
Now, Sten, you know that’s neither possible nor abiding to the rumor (it was her mother who might have been the recipient of a Letterman ‘joke’).
(born and raised in MASS too, btw... hope that I can add not meeting you to the few things I miss)
You might add, he apologized for it on the air.
Allright
Straight out of the Alinsky playbook: "Force the enemy to abide by their own rules. They can never measure up."
