I just got this note from another poster and twitter on the Americans supporting Iranian liberty & those fighting for it site on Facebook.

This is pertinent right now to the situation in Iran.

Twitter Folks-set your location to Tehran and your time zone to GMT +3.30. Iranian security forces are hunting for bloggers using location/timezone searches. The more people at this location, the more of a logjam it creates for forces trying to shut Iranians' access to the internet down.

We have to help protect the Freedom Fighters.

Please pass the word. There are ways we can help. This is one of those ways.

JH I have had a Twitter account but have only used it to keep track of the Tea Parties. Have no clue as to how to tweet.

I think you are probably right on the right track.

bassij as per Wikipedia is only partly correct. They were increased to about 1,000,000 at the outset of people who would be naive enough to accept all orders of the Supreme Leaders Khomeini. Recently a special Bassiji Strike Force of over 10,000 WITH THIS more recent proviso has that they were to be PAID mercenaries of NON-Persian origin from OUTSIDE Iran.

Persians are reluctant (for the most part) to kill fellow Persians so Arabs from around the MIddle East, Palestinians, Hamas, Hezbollah, Afghan Taleban and Eastern European Moslems from Albania etc., were imported and set up in military barracks. with color TV, food and women (often female prisoners from some of the 100 unofficial security ones, which report to only some high up Mullah.

Hopefully by the end of the day or evening AntiMullah will post latest news and breaking information and analysis.

Extremely interesting information, FARS. I am I reading this correctly, that the bassij leadership is unknown at this time?
