Jesus Fish/Darwin Fish

--snip--

Atheists use their Darwin fish to protest against the Christian faith. That they use evolution to counter biblical faith shows how foundational the issue of origins is to the gospel, and that church leaders who dismiss it as a ‘side issue’ have their heads in the sand...

[[Of course. It’s all for their own good, and they have it coming.]]

Lol- the poor picked on wicked people (and by hte way- We are ALL wicked, and Christ has offered us ALL the same hting-) The poor picked on people who just didn’t realize what was goign to happen even htough they’d been warned more than sufficiently- Where’s the next pity party TL? we can all sit around assassinating those evil Christians who try to warn people about hte consequences of evil, and how it’s ‘cruel’ to warn htem!

Isn’t this thread supposed to be about how the Christians are suffering at the hands of the athiests, who mock their religion and symbolism? It looks like you’ve got your own pity party going already.

[[You must be a hit at parties. :-D]]

Nah- people usually get depressed when they find out sin has consequences- noone likes being warned, and being told we have to confess our sins and ask Christ to be our Savior- We’d rather earn salvation our own way, rather than listen to God- noone likes being told we’re in error

OK, but 2/12 mmarked the 200th anniversary of Darwin’s birth.

Still, 200 years is a blink of an eye in the evolutionary timleine. We have seen some pretty rapid evolution of hominids in the last 3 million years or so.

Missing link between humans and what? ‘Apes’/Homo erectus, etc.

Just to be clear, we didn't evolve from any existing species of great apes- we just share a common ancestor with them. Paleontologists have discovered a couple of dozen of our hominid cousins and ancestors, such as Homo Erectus and Homo Neanderthalis. If you're looking for a really good link between Hominids and apes, you'll want to read about Australopithecus.

I have tome to expect it to be Dogma in scientific circles, absent specific and incontrovertible proof.

The TOE is, currently, the theory that best explains the available evidence. That's about as good as it gets when it comes to science.

he dismissal of those who ascribe to a Biblical worldview by academicians reminds me of the original lecture in the movie ‘Stargate’ in which the character of Daniel Jackson was met with hostility and personal attacks.

I'm not sure what you mean by "Biblical worldview" plenty of scientists, probably the majority, are theists.

However, that people who believe so strongly in evolution without incontrovertible proof in the face of scientific practice and strictness of proof makes the adoration of evolution more religion than science.

Science doesn't deal with "proof." The best that can be said of any theory is that it has not been disproven, as is the case with the TOE.

Lol- I could care less what Atheists do- I don’t want htem to continue in sin- but it’s their choice- IF they want to mock- as I said- let them- Earth is as close to heaven as they’re goign to get unfortunately, and if mocking seems a ‘victory’ to them in this brief life, then they’ve got a rude awakening coming I’m afraid IF they don’t heed God’s repeated warnings

Any comedian will tell you that if you have to explain the joke, it wasn't funny.

I'm sure they'll also tell you that some people just don't have a sense of humor.

I prefer this one, anyway:

And "Darwin hate symbol"? Take a little air out of your sense of persecution and use it to pump up your sense of humor.

It is a hate symbol and people would understand what you meant if you put the Darwin hate symbol over the Star of David, try it for a while and see if it makes you uncomfortable, try it with the Crescent if you don't value your life.

Try finding anti Jewish Darwin hate symbols, do they even make them?

it appears that some poeple missed this post and still insist both hte word of God is true, and that macroevolution is true, and that apparently, the bible and macroevolution are compatible, so:

If God ‘set evolution in motion (and we’re talking here about macroevolution- NOT Microevolution) then the bible is a lie because htere most certainly would have been death, disease, and destruction and bloodshed before the fall of man- but hte bible tells us otherwise- these things came AFTER the fall of man and was a result of man’s sin- Before hte fall, there was no death of the spirit nor body- but IF evolution were true, there would have had to be death of hte body before hte fall- either that or you had every single step of species surviving for millions/billions of years until man fell- and you’d have every single stepwise random morphing alive for all those years- eithwer that or the bible lied to us about death only happening AFTER man’s fall, and Christ really died for nothing because sin had already entered the world millions/billions of years before Man, through the animals, and the bible stating that through man sin and death entered hte world is simply not true then?

For that matter - are any product logo or university decal an indication that you worship them? More silliness, nothing to see here.

Lol- I could care less what Atheists do-

Then what's the point of political activism in pursuit of something you don't care about?

Thanks for the comment. As someone who studied biological science but loved geology, I still went another direction in my working life. Ordinarily, the people I speak with who are evolutionists are prone to personal attacks, such as the ‘collegiate courses’ implication made to me in an earlier post on this thread. The ‘nose in the air’ person is a type I see frequently in my own life. I turn the other way now, and simply don’t engage, as I am no longer willing to prove my educational background or professional accomplishments to anyone.

By the way, I would not have expected any scientist to be a theist, which tells you something about the people I have met that are in science.

Evolutions that put that crap on their car are snotty little SOB’s! These socalled educated people have no clue as to the origin of the fish symbol, but choose instead to by punks. Yeah, it grates on my nerves.

No doubt. Libs are disordered, ugly, violent lying hypocrites. They would love to load us into the cattle cars and ship us off to the death camps.

I, OTOH, don’t want to kill them, just sell them to the Saudis and Africans as slaves. LOL!

I have no desire to “get rid of them” in any way.
I just don’t want them anywhere near any position of power where they can impose their ideology on anyone else. This includes the classroom.

All right. What species have evolved to another species in the last 50 years? Since Darwin? What is your proof? Source?

Here you go.

Oh, and it was important to demonstrate superiority with Flash or Captivate or whatever video software, too, loaded up on a server, to inform my ‘ignorance.’

The point in my previous post is now demonstrated. Thank you.

Much as you laugh, look at the founding of our country.

Seems to me that the Founding Fathers felt they had God’s backing to break from England and establish a free country.

Does having a an ichthys on your automobile automatically make you a christian?

It means that you are telling people you are.

You know, it would be kind of neat to make up a symbol supporting a belief in the conservation of energy. I guess if I put it on my car that would make me a physicist. :-)
