Palin to RESIGN as Alaska Governor
Real Clear Politics ^ | July 3, 2009

UPDATE: Palin To Resign As Alaska Governor UPDATE: KTUU-TV in Anchorage reports that Palin not only won't seek re-election, but will resign later this month.

ORIGINAL POST: Gov. Sarah Palin (R) has announced she will not run for re-election in 2010, CNN reports. She's scheduled to make an announcement shortly.

The decision frees Palin to travel in the Lower 48 as she considers a potential run for president in 2012. A re-election campaign could also have been tough on the former vice presidential nominee; her approval rating has dropped from stratospheric highs, and a number of candidates in both parties are said to be considering runs.

Even if she won, the race would have been dominated by the specter of a presidential bid, giving her adversaries an opportunity to wound her politically. She's still fending off ethics complaints, many spurred by the "Troopergate" scandal.

If you have been here this long you would know that this is every newbie’s story and it is almost always a lie.

An old screen name would be helpful.

“I do like the Gov of Indiana.”

Don’t fool yourself about Gov. Daniels. A fiscal conservative, yes, but also very much a big government man who favors centralization of political power. He’s on a “government streamlining” program that essentially concentrates all political power in a county under one elected executive, will all county offices appointed by him. All judiciary functions, including prosecution and defense, will be run from the office of the Chief Justice of the State. All local offices will be lumped into “regional councils” that transcend community lines. They will reduce all services, including education, to “lowest common denominator” status. Growing communities will be revenue donors to failing ones.

Not what I want. Not what you want.

One thing resigning does is takes away the constant bogus ethics complaints weapon the loony left is using against her.

“’Her political career is over.’

You are skating on thin ice, Noobie!”

Hey, I’m just pointing out the obvious.

Don’t worry about the liberals; her Republican contenders will skewer her for this move. You who support her may not see it as quitting her job, but it will be WAY too easy for anyone who goes up against her to paint this move as erratic and irresponsible. Maybe she wanted out for good. But regardless of her intent, she’s done!

Any Alaskans or Alaskan lawyers on site? Seems to me that all the frivolous ethics complaints by “these frivolous evil activist lawyers” have to be violations of the Alaskan bar’s Code of Professional Responsibility (or whatever they call it there). File ethics complaints! Call the Alaskan bar to find out how. Get these scums’ law licenses stripped!

Hopefully we all underestimate the draw, pulling power that Sarah has to raise funds.
I don't think it will be a problem at all.
Palin is the type of candidate that most people either love or hate, that alone should inspire some big donors to help her out.
As far as the law suits the rat will never stop trying to destroy her, that's where we come in. We can always help her when they start lying about her.

Maybe, but there will be something else, they never stop their lies its all they have. She is a huge draw for conservatives. The rats know what that means. When we are energized they lose, they realize that.

Someone on FOX said she was thinking about the Senate, then CNN quoted a family member who said, "She's done with politics."

She's done.

"Don’t worry about the liberals; her Republican contenders will skewer her for this move"

We'll have to agree to disagree.

Those Republican contenders haven't got the votes to do anything but spew hot air. Without the base - they are nothing - unless they think there are enough Rhinos to vote for them.

This is going down to the wire, my friend. We don't give up that easily.

The person who “quoted” a family member was Andrea Mitchel (sp? who cares). If you believe anything that leftist witch has to say, then I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you as well as some prime real estate in the Gulf (which will be worth a fortune once the Gulf is drained - trust me!)

I always loved that Ginger Rogers story!

Lol, the thought of Romney in high heels is like an elephant in a teacup.... ‘What would he do in them’? Stumble and fall as he will do again if he runs.
