Bill O'Reilly has called Free Republic a hate site and he may now have some ammunition to back up that assertion.

"Wonder when she will get her first abortion."At a time when the administration is seeking any reason to squelch any speech it deems "hate", as well as the entities where that speech may be found, what the hell were these people thinking?These are a small selection of some of the racially-charged comments posted to the conservative 'Free Republic' blog Thursday, aimed at U.S. President Barack Obama's 11-year-old daughter Malia after she was photographed wearing a t-shirt with a peace sign on the front.
The thread was accompanied by a photo of Michelle Obama speaking to Malia that featured the caption, "To entertain her daughter, Michelle Obama loves to make monkey sounds."

Ok, now I understand. You know I don’t doubt that some of the comments were written by some Freepers. Some but not all. This is a great site but unfortunately it does not have an flaming idiot repellent built into it. The mods do their level best to Zot such idiots early and often. Or if they are established member to serve them with a rather stern warning.
It would be great if Jim could run the bonafides of every one who signs up for an account. But I think he has more urgent uses for his time. So people join up who do not reflect the beliefs of this site. They make the mistake liberals make and think a conservative site is going to endorse racism. You know because we hate minorities.
It is not always possible to police every post. But when they are found they are pulled. And a lot of stuff gets pulled because Freepes bring it to the mods attention. I hope you will give credit for such.

Our children are affected by what they see, hear, and experience in school, their parents, their peers.
Giving up on 50% of the kids is no way to save, or take back, a nation.
Pressure must be applied to all points, at every chance, resistance must be total, to every facet of liberal indoctrination in every hall, water cooler, gas station pump, public venue.
Too long liberals have had control of the agenda, the pace of the debate, framed thier way, setting up conservatism to fail, based on their false presentation of same.
There are people on this site that are adamantly prolife, as the first and foremost of things to work on. What happens after the child is born in a liberal lefty nest? Is the child any less precious?
If this country is to be steered back to conservatism, it needs to be pushed to do so on all levels, all venues, at each and every chance we are presented with.
I read the original thread and was disturbed at the time, but I’m relatively new here so I didn’t say anything. But follow the links posted above, and look at post #8 among others. There were several that gave me cause.
I also want to say there were posters who took the others to task and suggested that the kids be left alone.
I agree. And please note I did not say we should be silent about the clothing she wore just that the comments should not turn into a personal attack against her.
How many ‘hotheads’ got caught up in that thread? Do you know many many provocateurs vs how many locals posted the awful stuff? Any locals at all this time?

Why is it OK with you that Chelsea Clinton and the Obama kids are off-limits / out of bounds, but that Sarah Palin’s kids and the Bush twins are fair game?
Until you can satisfactorily explain your pathetic acceptance of these “rules”, you have no place in conservative discussions.
I glanced at that thread and left. Don’t have the particulars. Someone posted “sign up dates” of those involved above in this thread. From the look of those dates, I would say a couple of locals got caught up in it, just as was intended.

Because it’s immoral. A relative of mine was a politician, and what his kids went through! You have no idea what it’s like, even under the best of circumstances. Hands off the kids until they reach majority, and are acting on their own - like Meghan McCain.

There are some wing nuts out there ~ some are frustrated FReepers, some are simply trolls.
Innapropriate images should be taken down by admins and in my opinion, they do a pretty good job of it.

I agree, it is even worse for that — it is an not-very-subtle statement of Obama himself, and irresponsible for being so on many levels, not the least of which is his “Joe Jacksoning” of Malia.
Even so, an eleven year old has a personal involvement to accept or reject such proxy-ism, by some manner of expression or public tantrum.
