The runner-up, Jim Thompson, the owner of the right wing website Free Republic, which has moderated comments, meaning a grown up is supposed to read them and delete the crazier ones. But Thompson‘s folks waited as long as three days removing a comment thread devoted to the racist rage of a disturbing large number of his posters, possibly some of the same people who had previously conducted polls on the site on how best to topple the freely elected government of the United States.
After President Obama‘s daughter appeared in a t-shirt with a peace sign on it at the G-8, a thread at the Free Republic was opened with another photo of the first lady, captioned “to entertain her daughter, Michelle Obama loves to make monkey sounds.”
Some of the posts describe the Obamas, individually and collectively, as, quote, “typical street whore,” “bunch of ghetto thugs,” ghetto street trash,” “dirt bags,” “wonder when she‘ll get her first abortion,” “they make me sick, the whole family, mammy, pappy, the free loading mammy-in-law, the misguided children, and especially little cousin.”
No indication of how many of the racist attacks on Malia Obama were made by people who simultaneously were threatening anybody who even mentioned Sarah Palin‘s children. The most prominent response at Free Republic was not an apology, but rather the claim the comments were planted. This was, in turn greeted, by more racist comments by veterans of the site, and a call to action to flood the e-mail accounts of a list of the main stream media people, people like Don Imus of MSNBC, the “CBS Evening News” with Dan Rather, and Paula Zahn and Bill Hemmer and Tucker Carlson and Robert Novak of CNN.
Let me know if Dan Rather still answers his CBS e-mails, clowns.

The people who think Jim Thompson runs the forum, are the ones who are convinced this is a racist site, and that the right is seriously flawed.

Good grief Charlie Brown! Is this thread still going on? Haven’t you people found Jim Thompson yet? Have you looked under the bed yet?
They are delusional. If they knew how to research, they would find numerous threads, especially about this topic, denouncing racism.
Here’s what bothers me about the charges of racism.
The comments about Obama or Michelle in relation to the ghetto, was not racist. It referenced them not being polished. If we talked about a white guy acting like he came from the slums, would it be racist? Hell no, but it would be the same type of comment.
Someone mentioned some animals sounds. That animal was the same animal that people accused Bush of being, for years into his presidency. Was that racist? It’s it suddenly racist if you refer to a Black person in those terms? No.
In this day and age, you can’t criticize someone on point if they are Black. It suddenly become a racial comment. Well, it isn’t. Racism does still exist, but charging Whites with doing something they didn’t do, is actually an example of it.
I wish it was something that would surprise us. I wish the media had even a semblence of balance.

Jim Thomspon does better than that. He refers the trolls who make these comments over to the Daily Kos.

You are exactly right. If you think about it, the DHS report on right wing extremists, and our Veterans gave credibility to those who spew nasty comments about conservatives and white folks. It also attempts to silence us from responding to critics by desensitizing the left wingers, who are feel no guilt or remorse for publicly damning the conservatives who speak out against their lies and hatred. They are so blatant about it. IMHO there is racial hatred towards whites, and it’s becoming more and more open.

Nah, he used the name Thompson because he lifted it from the guy who wrote the Vancouver Sun article, who lifted it from KOS. Just more evidence their “facts” are wrong.

What is so funny is that it is killing them that we are having so much fun with this. They cannot understand why we are not devastated by inclusion on Keith, the Love Dud, Olberman’s list.
