If we could get millions of Americans to march on Washington, what would we do?

JimRob, you’ve hit on such a great ‘strategy’ in this thread perhaps you may want a new thread for the ‘tactics’ of which Fed Agencies need be cut immediately. Then stick with your brilliant Constitution Restoration Strategy til finalized....that said,
What needs to disappear from FEDERAL government:

(as you implied) many ‘jack booted thug’ agencies....ATF (and its alphabet children), DEA, etc.
DOEd
DOEnergy ( a new ‘real’ National Energy Plan should be drafted by the Governors)
HHS
all Human Rights agencies
IRS (as JimRob said)
BLS
Census Bureau (I can live with the 2000 cencus for the next hundred or so years)
Dept of Commerce
...more to follow.

Just one caveat...the military (and vets) were short changed for decades after KGB stooges Cronkite and Carter got thru with their demonization. I would hate to see an unintended consequence of this valiant Constitution Restoration any significant downsizing of the VA (we’re finally treating our Vets right via 8 years of Bush). just say’n.

Alternative: An assembly of the governors shall be convened to for the purpose of selecting an interim President and VP.

this'n I like!...and as in the old days the #1 vote getter would be pres, #2 the VP!

I cannot support trying to force a change of government outside of the normal electoral process - not unless the right to free elections is taken away.

Right, we still have free, FAIR elections with ACORN under investigation or indictment in 22 states after Obama stole the election.

One million angry Patriots holding fake evil black rifles held high over our heads screaming for their heads would literally scare the crap out of them.

Fake?

That means we aren't really all that serious. The other side has been willing to go to jail and block buildings and burn REAL flags and if we aren't ready to go to jail or to break some illegal gun ban laws, then we aren't serious about taking this nation back to our roots.

I don't want to have to travel to DC more than once.

These people need to LITERALLY have the crap scared out of them and toy guns won't do it. If you don't want to stand there with a real gun over your head, then maybe Real Pitchforks and Real Torches might be a legitimate alternative, but these people need to have the fear of God put in them. They need to know that there are millions of true Americans who will mean it when they cry...

GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH!

Investigate ALL congress critters and jail as needed.

Wouldn't work...as a great man once said, "we put our petty thieves in jail, and elect the big thieves to public office"==AESOP. Great shortlist and a good start for Education! add: ban any teachings on global warming, PC, abolish teachers unions (I know you probably meant that in your general gummit union ban), ie, the NEA, the state EAs, county EAs, etc. also no government monies for Islamic teachings (or Scientology or other 'pseudo-religious' terrorist groups)

Any bill creating or modifying any law requires 75% affirming votes in the associated chamber to pass. Any vote to re-peal a law requires only a simple majority.

ahhh, the voice of reason!

Most voters today have been bought and paid for by the Dims. Achieving the bulk of this would be very difficult. Making it even more so, would be the Supreme Court. But difficult does not imply impossible. So lets go for it.

Seconded....of course, there'll be some minor collateral damage.

Yes - I know all about it... it was long long ago - “That was then - This is NOW...

There were no international T.V vans with satellite dishes broadcasting the event to the entire U.S. and the rest of the world, there were no cell phones - there were not digital cameras everywhere, there were not digital video cams everywhere.

The Administration and Congress could not take the heat of even a suggestion of abuse - it would be instantly broadcast on every cable news - Millions of Americans would be watching.

Therefore there will be no police crackdown of any substance...

If the police and military were ordered to do so and a big crackdown occurred -— hundreds of thousands of Americans would become incensed and would come running to D.C.

But, I believe the American Military would not take violent action against Americans in such a situation.

Oh - there would be attempts - at first - to handcuff and carry off citizens and that would go on for a while - until it became futile as tens of thousands of people simply circled them and made them leave.

A Throng of Millions cannot be stopped - that is the SECRET... if a million people do not want to be moved - they cannot be..

Throwing riot gas into a crowd of protesting U.S. Citizens would soon bring the U.S. Government to its knees and probably it would collapse.

Great post...add to that restoration of Property Rights. Review Emminent Domain to ensure it’s not used simply to ‘jack taxes’.

Great point....and it would be nice to have at least one Branch of Federal Government ‘with us’! Gonna be a large acorn army ‘against us’!!!

So - some of us would be hurt ... I’m willing to risk that...

50,000 troops cannot control 1,000,000 people who do not want to be moved.

It would be political suicide to tear gas tens of thousands of Americans — remember ‘The Whole World will be Watching’

I’m not afraid to lose blood on the streets...

We've got upwards of 80 million armed Americans, guns are flying off the shelves, people are stocking up on massive amounts of ammunition, and still the clueless continue the march to Tyranny.

There's a reason guns and ammunition have been flying off the shelves since "the one" and ACORN stole the election: At least some with common sense have come to realize that the government no longer speaks for them, and has openly become their enemy.

This government is stealing our freedoms, the fruits of our labors, and our choices for healthcare, education, etc.. on a daily basis.

Many are quietly drawing the line in their own minds. They may not be speaking of "revolution" but I darn sure do think they're preparing for it.

Others (such as .. oh, myself) openly talk about it because I understand that I'm not supposed to fear the Government, the Government is supposed to fear US. That's what the founding fathers intended.

The founding fathers understood that they were the last line of defense between a cowering public, too afraid to fight the King, and the freedoms they sought not just for themselves, but for all those who came to this country with them. Fast forward to today, Patriots are the last line of defense between this tyrannical government and our Constitutionally guaranteed freedoms.

I'm frankly embarassed by some posters on this thread who don't get that simple point.

Our founding fathers didn't "work within King George's system" to try and make change. Once they realized that the King didn't care about them, their rights, their families, or the fruits of their labors they rebelled - and rightfully so.

In the meantime, those of us who support a revolution are being called "radicals" and worse. For that, I say THANK YOU! I count that a compliment in the spirt of Jefferson, Madison, Adams, Henry and Franklin. To those who think my (and others) views on this thread are "radical" I don't think the founding fathers would've given much thought about you or those who stand idly by, defend this government and preach "We have to do this Constitutionally" while this Government continues to tear down our Constitution on a daily basis. Did the Founding Fathers work within King Georges' "system?" HELL NO. They recognized CORRUPTION when they saw it, what in the hell is wrong with you?

I mean my God in Heaven, the People of Honduras understood it when their Constitution was being violated by their tyrannical ruler, what is wrong with people on this very form that they can't see that Obama is doing the exact same thing?

“Live on national TV isn’t public?”

Not the same. A live event with reporters in the midst of a million people is quite different...quite different...and could not be spun, no matter how hard they tried...I share your outrage...but his would NOT be the same thing...

The first rule of bureaucracy is to survive whatever the cost.

The Root of the problem...great post by the way. The overarching rule of government should be to First do no harm. Unfortunately, our laws are replete with unintended consequences (mostly harmful). Congress has failed miserably in this simple undeniable 'cause celebre'. So they continue to pass laws to fix the laws to fix the laws to fix the laws....previously passed. And here we are, a broken beyond repair gummit. And no one (with any integrity) wants to 'join in on the fun'.

Do we as well transfer the federal debt to the states
dividing the liabilities by each states population?
-
I would say, “Yes”. And in addition to that,
I would like to see the annual federal budget proportioned
by number of representatives in the house back to the states.
