And then one of our moderators spotted this:

http://www.scribd.com/doc/18018714/Fake-Obama-Kenya-birth-certificate

It has several clues, but also there's this question:

Who is E. F. Lavender?

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=earth+friendly+lavender&aq=f&oq=&aqi

Earth Friendly Lavender detergent?

If it’s real and those various circles knew it was about to be released - the sudden barrage of spin last week would be entirely consistent with it being real. Seems almost like some are overly-anxious to throw this one under the bus. Perhaps it’s not a plant.

The document looks years old to me, with old creases and faded typewriting. And yeah, you could smell the fear from the media elites and the universal side-stepping of this issue by politicians.

Then came that wierd House vote on Obama's eligibility as if they wanted to prove, maybe, that they were giving Obama the benefit of the doubt.

Most likely 0bama won’t let us see his bc because there’s something very embarrassing on it, which would expose him as a liar. Or perhaps Hillary Clinton really does have superpowers and she had someone destroy the records just to make him look like he’s hiding something, and he doesn’t want to admit he can’t find any record of his birth. Or maybe he really is Malcolm XI and an amended bc would reveal this.
Many amusing possibilities. While I’m making stuff up (it being 2am), how about this: he actually WAS born in Hawaii, but his father, upon hearing he was being divorced in ‘64, decided at that time to register the boy’s birth as having occurred in Kenya; he thought about taking custody of his son, even got someone to swear she’d witnessed it, got this document prepared and tried to fob it off on the court...except Stanley Ann pulled the rug out from under him, revealing that he was not the boy’s father at all. And now, poor Barry is trying to whack down speculation and inquiry because 0bama Sr. left him the nasty legacy of a fraudulent birth certificate. Moral of the story, if it stinks, don’t stir it up!
With that diverting fantasy, I think I’ll retire for the evening.

I admit to thinking the same thing today. This may well be a fake, but I am a little suspicious about the seemingly-coordinated hysteria about birthers over the past week.

I was of a different opinion earlier, but it's possible some of us (including myself) have fallen into a trap.

To my mind the biggest hole in this document is that it says "REPUBLIC OF KENYA" on both the document heading AND official seal, 10 months before Kenya became the "republic of Kenya". What makes this so charged, is that if there is another Government document during the interregnum, that unexpectedly does have a Republic of Kenya letterhead, then the proof is profound. A forger, like us, wouldn't have known something like the coastal district in Kenya jumping the gun on using Republic. If that is the case, it is either the forger of the century, or an authentic document.

******

How was the document folded?

Could someone take some pictures to show us how the document was folded?

I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how the document was folded so that all the creases match and line up. Thanks.

The first, E.F. Lavender, is the name of the registrar in 1961 whose name appears on the referenced record in book 44B on page 5733. The second, E.H. Miller, is the registrar in 1964 at the time the certificate attesting to the content of the record was prepared. Joshua Simon Oduya is Mr. Miller's assistant who prepared and signed the document.

It sounds like you have done some good research on this document. I suppose that just leaves the coincidence with the numbers.

This is a news article clipping I found from The Chillicothe Constitution Tribune on April 11th, 1961 on Page 4 (Near the top center of the page.) Click Here if you wish to view the archive for yourself.

Keep in mind this was published in April of 1961 from a Missouri newspaper. Apparently the usage of the "Republic of Kenya" was not uncommon.

That is the purpose of this post. Please discuss.

There is a few around here that would dispute what their lying eyes are telling them. Good find!

WND article states they are similar. As I said earlier, it might be possible for WND to be SO STUPID and SO BLIND as to not notice that that the name of the NATION is different on the documents. However, that is quite unlikely.

There's a more innocent explanation.

The article says, "WND was able to obtain other birth certificates from Kenya for purposes of comparison, and the form of the documents appear to be identical. "

Perhaps WND compared the document with others that were dated AFTER Dec 12th 1964.

If so, the comparison documents would definitely have the header and seal of "Republic of Kenya", and no discrepancy would be seen.

If they didn't have any comparison docs dated earlier, then they would have (innocently) missed an opportunity to evaluate the validity of the document.

If you saw the newspaper article in this thread, it clearly shows that people were referring to Kenya as ‘Republic of Kenya’.

By "people", you mean the Nevada Palladium Times right? The Nevada Palladium Times, famous experts on international affairs and county fairs?

When the Nevada Palladium times writes, the people of the world have spoken?

No one is claiming that the 1963 constitution calls Kenya the ‘Republic of Kenya’.

Yeah only about 200 people were, all wrong.

In fact, there is evidence that ‘Republic of Kenya’ was being used at that time as even in that newspaper photo Red Steel posted in this thread.

The 1963 Nevada Palladium Times is a legendary arbiter of truth in world affairs! You've got to be their biggest fan.

I did google E.F. Lavender detergent. I found Earth Friendly detergent but the Lavender part wasn’t really part of the product label. It was simply lavender scented.

This revelation by Orly has been more fun then any roller coaster I’ve been on.

I don’t care if this document is real or not, let them defend it!!!

My prayer is that this document, even if it never comes to trial, will wake up the majority of Americans to the fact that we do not know, by verifiable records, who is in the White House.

Given Obama’s falling poll numbers, his obvious anti-American sentiments and attitude, crap-n-tax and forcing socialized death care down out throats, this document may be enough to wake up the giant Eagle and take these anti-American traitors out, once and for all.

I notice that Oduya's signature is faded slightly at the top of the O on the left and right side of the crease.

Also pen ink would probably be darker than typewriter ink and of a different chemical makeup that makes it less prone to fade.

The “Republic of Kenya” issue has been addressed. The Zanzibar issue has been addressed. The font was addressed. E.F. Lavenader is hardly evidence of a forgery. The 47044 seems to have a logical explanation, and Obama Sr.’s age is listed correctly as 25. Are there any other abnormalities?

If nothing else, it seems to me that there is no sound reason to reject this at face value. I’m anxious to see WND’s follow up and what the next few days brings.
