Sounds like you are not understanding the important distinction between U. S. Citizenship and Natural Born U. S. Citizenship.
But if both you and your wife are U. S. Citizens, and not dual citizenship holders, then your children are Natural Born U. S. citizens, IMO.
Also IMO, for the most part, the place of birth is a red herring. There are exceptions to that statement, but they are not relevant WRT your family’s situation. Again, IMO.

I’ve written elsewhere that what matters is not what Media Matters quotes the WaPo as saying about Kenya joining as a “Republic of the British Commonwealth” in 12-1964 [http://mediamatters.org/blog/200908030001], but how Kenya and its government, since its indepedence in 12-1963 referred to itself.
This document reference found by politicalmerc seems to clear that little diddy right up.
I tried to make one up in about 1 minute, but couldn’t. I did find a link to a signature on some doc related to obama’s inauguration, but couldn’t open it on my BlackBerry. But some numerology person could probably gin up something, esp if they are allowed to cheat, too.

Also the use of the term “appear to be” leaves a bit of wiggle room in case it’s a fake. If WND would post images of it’s comparsion BCs (or whatever docs it’s using) with the private info blacked out, that would certainly be helpful.

You’re confusing U. S. citizenship with Natural Born U. S. citizenship.
But for the record, I disagree with current U. S. policy that allows anchor babies to receive U. S. citizenship just because their Mexican National parents sneaked across the border in time for the mother to give birth. It wasn’t intended to work that way, but the law has been perverted pver time.

It appears that Mombasa was part of British Kenya for decades before it was formally ceded to newly independent Kenya in 1963. The British certainly administered it as part of the British East Africa Protectorate, later known as the Kenya Colony, for decades prior to 1963; in fact, Mombasa was the capital of the British East Africa Protectorate and the Kenya Colony. So I have to believe that the birth certificate for someone born in Mombasa in 1961 would say that he was born in Kenya, not in Zanzibar.
Which is not to say that the Kenyan birth certificate isn’t a fake, just that it saying Mombasa, Kenya doesn’t make it a fake.
