Secret Service looking into Obama-Joker fax By Eric Messinger Posted: 08/07/09 05:03 PM [ET] The Secret Service may investigate a fax sent to a Democratic lawmaker that depicts President Barack Obama as the Joker and warns of “death to all Marxists.”
The black-and-white fax portrays Obama in makeup similar to that worn by actor Heath Ledger in his portrayal of the Joker in last summer’s “The Dark Knight.”
On Obama’s forehead is a communist hammer-and-sickle insignia, and beneath the image is the text: “Death to All Marxists! Foreign and Domestic!”
Rep. Brian Baird (D-Wash.) received the fax and passed it along to U.S. Capitol Police.
The Secret Service investigates threats made against the president. Ed Donovan, of Secret Service Public Affairs, said that the fax was “potentially an investigative intelligence matter.”
The fax’s image was the same featured in another recent Obama-as-Joker poster that received attention in the press earlier this week. The first image read only: “Socialism.”
The message made no specific reference to Baird and it is unclear why it was sent to his office. No other congressional office reported receiving a similar fax.
Baird has compared protesters who have shown up at lawmaker town halls during the recess to the Nazis.
“What we're seeing right now is close to Brown Shirt tactics,” Baird said in an interview with the Vancouver, Wash., Columbian on Thursday. “I mean that very seriously.”

So the Secret Service takes it serious when one makes threats naming marxists ?
Does that mean they admit they are protecting a Marxist ?
I bet money that Baird had his staff draw this up.
I don’t believe anything those people say.
Wouldn’t be surprised if one of Axelrod’s minions actually sent it to try and pin it on Conservatives.
They admit then that he’s a Marxist.

Remember the posters the loons on the left created that showed President Bush in the crosshairs, with a caption, “Snipers wanted”? How about the effigy of Sarah Palin, hung from the rafters? As far as I know, no one “investigated” those.
What laws do we have that pertain to Marxists in particular?
A fax? Pretty old school.
So what happens if they trace it back to DC’s ACORN office?
That was my first reaction. Why would an American politican get all worked up over this.
Did they do the same when Bush was threatened and had worse images than this pranced around.
They should have made a movie.
Tracing a fax is easy. We better stay on this to learn where it came from and when/if they publicize it. I smell a RAT, and I mean a democRAT, not the little fuzzy rodent that gets the bad rap.
