ACORN turns into Community Organizers International and the next day the Senate passes and amendment to free up the funds that were to have gone to the now-defunct ACORN.
I wonder where those funds will be allocated next? Well, they were going to go to “community organizing”, and I hear there is a startup organization trying to get on their feet...
Sounds like a lot more wanted to stand by them but someone suggested that the voters may not look kindly upon supporting child prostitution and they quickly changed their votes. My senators Levin and Stabenow among the vote changers.
Have to admit I don’t know the next step on this - Does the House have to similarly vote? Also, by Acorn being defunded, does that include all their various community agitating entities?
The US Senate voted overwhelmingly to address an issue - and the liberal media has never covered the issue?
It must have been important enough for the Senate to act, and the Senate vote itself is news.
Guess they just “missed” the story, huh?
Is it an acknowledgment that congress critters now see Obama as a political liability to their own political survival?
Is this the 8.5 billion dollars from the stimulus package they are supposed to get? Oh, did any Senators vote “Present”? I hear they do that sometimes...
Anyone that really believes that the DemonRATs aren't going to funnel money into the same people under different disguises, are probably delusional. Acorn and it's subsidiaries are paid tools of the DemonRAT corruption machine. They will have to find a way to refund them prior to the next election cycle, they don't have time to invent new schemes.
ACORN will simply become WALNUT or CASHEW or whatever. They’ll fly under the radar screen either way. They are NOT out of the game. The jerks that voted to “de-fund” them will get accolades from their constituents and be voted back in. And the vicious circle continues.
Those seven “stay bought”!

U.S Senate denies funds for poverty group
EXCERPT
ACORN said the Senate’s action was disappointing but would have little impact on its overall operations.
So if the house concurs and the bill hits Obamas desk, will he veto it and if he does, will it get overridden?
I would keep a keen out out for any ACORN connections to incidents of domestic terrorism, now that they have been exposed and cut off from their “sugar daddy” the withdrawal pains will begin. And just like a junky they will steal anything to support the habit.
