Policymaking: If the stimulus isn't working, perhaps it's because it was largely written by a collection of leftist interest groups called the Apollo Alliance that counts among its directors a co-founder of the Weather Underground.
Michigan's rate rose to 15.2%, highest in the nation. Nevada, represented by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, is second with 13.2%. California, home of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, is tied for fourth with Oregon at 12.2%.
Clearly, the stimulus bill that no congressman read is not working. As it turns out, no congressman may have written it either. It's largely the creation of a coalition of leftist organizations called the Apollo Alliance, whose primary interests are saving the Earth, environmental justice and redistributing wealth. They are not friends of job-creating capitalism.
On Apollo's Web site, Sen. Reid, whose state also leads in foreclosures, is quoted praising the group of which former green czar Van Jones was a board member.
"We've talked about moving forward on these ideas for decades," Reid is quoted as saying. "The Apollo Alliance has been an important factor in helping us develop and execute a strategy that makes great progress on these goals and in motivating the public to support them."

They probably didn’t even know they were drinking Kool-Aid, since they failed to read the ingredients on the little paper cup, uh, I mean the bill.

Here in my little town in NC we have a National Cemetary. There is a project funded by the stimulus going on right now to replace the perfectly good grass with sod. While I don’t know this for a fact, the workers all appear to be illegals. Once the new grass is planted these jobs will go away.....no jobs will be created from this project. None of the local news media has reported on the project (go figure) but everyone who has noticed it that I have spoken with is outraged by the obvious waste of taxpayer(and Chinese) money.

At least 80 members of the House of Reps are members of the democrat-socialist caucus. (I forget their actual name.) They all approve of this close connection with the Apollo Alliance. No one is fooled or duped in the democrat House!!!! they have been living for the day when they could “take over” our country.
The fact that the cities they have “taken over” for decades are crippled cesspools does not mean a thing to them. There is no cause and effect connection in their brains. There is only “belief” in their ideology/religion.
I wish conservatives would use the religion analogy more often, since ‘separation of church and state’ is such a dominant theme in American dialogue.
If any word, color, symbol, or hint relating to Judeo-Christianity causes government school faculties to faint, we need to equate the keywords of leftist indoctrination to the same kind of forbidden status!

WASHINGTON | Counterterrorism officials have issued security bulletins to police around the nation about terrorist interest in attacking stadiums, entertainment complexes and hotels — the latest in a flurry of such internal warnings as investigators chase a possible bomb plot in Denver and New York.
In the two bulletins — sent to police departments Monday and obtained by The Associated Press — officials said they know of no specific plots against such sites, but urged law enforcement and private companies to be vigilant. These two bulletins followed on the heels of a similar warning about the vulnerabilities of mass transit systems.
The Labor Department reported Friday that 42 states lost more jobs than they gained in August, and that 14 plus Washington, D.C., reported unemployment rates of 10% or more.
