Scarborough Demands GOP Renounce Beck's 'Hatred'; Accuses Beck of Obama Assassination Hysteria

In the first half-hour of today's show, MSNBC Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough accused Fox News Channel and radio talk show host Glenn Beck of spreading hatred and whippping up raced-based assassination hysteria against Barack Obama, demanding Republicans renounce Beck.
Scarborough, a former conservative Republican congressman from Florida, attacked the libertarian Beck for spending the summer telling viewers there were FEMA detention camps being built and for saying that Obama hates "all white people."
Scarborough said the "hatred" Beck is spreading would make him responsible should Obama be assassinated. Though he didn't speak explicitly of Obama's assassination, it was clear what Scarborough meant.
Scarborough demanded that potential Republican presidential candidates denounce Beck, naming Mitt Romney in particular.

I look at it like this...Beck is exposing the Republican Party...it has already destroyed itself! We need to vote out many of them. Any party that has members that voted for more funding for Murtha’s airport, like the Republican Party has..there is something deeply wrong and needs to be totally changed. I watch Beck every day...and people that don’t watch him often and think he is a ‘nut’ are the ones that are nuts, in my humble opinion.

Okay, I think a lot of people are missing the obvious point here. Why would the GOP renounce Beck when Glen Beck does not claim to be a member of the GOP? This is what's wrong with people like Joe Scarborough. They are conflagurating two different things, Conservatives and the GOP. Not all conservatives are members of the GOP. Less and less will be when idiots like this come on and denounce conservatives.
Joe, we understand your ratings stink and this is a way to get people to notice you. It still does not work.

More alarming than that- last week there were rumors that the power brokers of the RNC were talking with Scarborough about a run for POTUS. Because we all know how well a two-faced backstabbing RINO did in the last presidential election....

You have got to be kidding. First Mark Levin decides to attack Beck, and now this? What the hell is wrong with these people? Glenn Beck’s criticisms of the current administration have been wickedly effective, so I expected him to receive the Palin treatment from the mainstream media. I did not expect him to receive it from supposed conservatives as well. Petty jealousy is to blame.

Glenn is doing no such thing. Other side is wetting their pants because we’ve actually begun to answer back.

Is there anyone on MSNBC with an ounce of integrity?
Scarborough is apparently willing to say whatever the Goebbels script of the day happens to be.
Shame on you Joe. Stop spreading foolish lies.

Apparently Scarborough got the emails and phone calls from the White House that Chris Wallace mentioned. Good job comrade. The State Run Media doesn’t forget who their friends (and enemies) are.

Beck would gladly destroy the Republican party and go “ Beck doesn't run or control the Republican Party.
As for “destroying the Republican party", John McCain, Lindsay Graham, Arlene Specter, Olympia Snow are already doing that. They are the ones you should be worryin about.

This MSNBC tactic is getting boring: make an over-the-top attack on someone at FNC to boost the puny ratings of MSNBC.
Yawn.

My lib coworker was claiming yesterday that 62 or some such number of sponsors had quit advertising on Beck recently. Anything to this, or he just spewing the latest leftist crap?

The ColorOfChange boycott campaign couldn't stop Beck. All it did was send his ratings through the roof. So now they gotta try crying “assassination”. Not gonna work either.
