The Department of Justice has hired a team of partisan Democrat campaign bloggers to work at the Department.....Tracy Russo is one such blogger from the campaign of John Edwards. The unit is housed in the Office of Public Affairs....They are also tasked with posting anonymous comments, or comments under pseudonyms, at newspaper websites with stories critical of the Department of Justice, Holder and President Obama....“There is clearly a designed effort to rebut stories that are exposing the Holder Justice Department as more political than the last. We’ve seen a change in the pattern of anonymous emails we receive and comments posted at our paper’s webpage.”

Wow. In conjunction with the NEA expose Beck and Breitbart are doing, this is chilling.

Are you thinking what I’m thinking about the, “We’re trying to figure out what this means legally....have a safe conversation...” comments on that NEA call?

Hm. It makes me thing all these extreme hit-pieces on Beck are coming out of the White House...and why?

Probably not. But when has a Democrat let a little thing like the law stand in their way of them implementing their agenda?

These people try at propaganda but it obviously isn't working in their favor based on the 0’s tanking numbers. The harder they try, the worse it turns back on them.

Just a quick heads-up where this story is in the world of all things Obamanation. Hans von Spakovsky wrote at the Corner, at National Review Online, covered the story on its site: http://corner.nationalreview.com/. I also saw it blurbed over at pjtv (a quote from the NRO post below):

“Is the Department of Justice engaging in fraud, or is it simply trying to hide its propaganda? Those of you wondering how DOJ uses your tax dollars to enforce our nation’s laws might be interested to learn that Eric Holder has apparently hired former Democratic campaign bloggers to work at the department in what appears to be a secret propaganda unit. According to a story at The Muffled Oar website, the bloggers are housed in the Office of Public Affairs (the press office)....”

Doesn't it seem like this should be against the law?

This was posted on FR several days ago. We just need to all be aware that the trolls are amongst us.

Remember that trolls may be ugly, that they hide under bridges and pop out to annoy and frighten the good folks, but that they’re not known for their intelligence.

Don’t feed them, and, as in dealing with any toddler mindset: I-G-N-O-R-E.

Obama Blog Propaganda is Government-Wide

The Washington Post today provides context to the story the Muffled Oar first broke about the aggressive DOJ Blog Squad mission. The DOJ has hired a team of bloggers to influence the blogosphere and online media. Tracy Russo, a partisan campaign blogger for John Edwards, the DNC and Obama Campaign is leading the Blog Squad at the Department of Justice. So much for a non-political Department of Justice. That dream is dead.

The Muffled Oar has learned from Department sources that Russo is spending a great deal of time keeping angry gay and transgender partisans quiet and in line regarding the Department’s Defense of Marriage Act. Russo is primarily tasked with spinning the blogosphere about Obama and Holder policies by whatever means necessary. Russo’s mission is to babysit the left and get them energized, or get them quiet, depending on the issue and circumstances.

Today the Washington Post demonstrates that the effort to propagandize to the blogosphere is a government-wide campaign.
