House Ways & Means Committee Chairman Charlie Rangel (D-N.Y.) held a hearing this morning to certify that H.R. 3200 -- the main House Obamacare bill which was the subject of all the town hall rage in August -- has met all requirements to pass as a “budget reconciliation” measure.
Under reconciliation, the bill can be passed by a simple majority vote in the Senate -- just 51 votes -- and will be given preferential treatment on the House floor as well. The Dems have apparently invoked the “nuclear option” to shut out Republicans and ensure the bill is passed before the end of the year. (see link for more....)

How often are we seeing news from other countries? Hardly any. How about what’s happening in the rest of the states next to you? Or across the country?
People are starved for news because we are not getting it. we get the same fluff stories over and over and over, every day...

They have probably been assured that the formality of elections will not interfere with their careers. The election process, like every other American instititution, has been sold to the highest bidder. You will NOT be able to vote out the oligarchs.

I’ve read this several times. But I’m pretty sure i read somewhere else that the reconciliation rules expire October 15th, in which case it would be too late for the Senate to use that rule, even if the House could ever get their bill passed and sent to the Senate.

People wrongly assume that we live in a democracy, but we live in a representative democracy. Once we elect our representative, they are free to destroy us, punishable only by being thrown out of office after the fact.
They do not need to listen to us if they think their goals are more important than what the people want.

Senate Republicans should stand shoulder to shoulder an use EVERY parliamentarian trick to slow down, delay and stall every single bill that comes to the floor. Demand that each bill be read to the floor. Speak long and slow about every bill. Make it feel like a filibuster.
I heard that also. I also heard that a different type of nuclear option could be used, where the Senate votes for cloture with 60 votes on the Baucus bill, or something considered mild enough for Olympia Snowe, and then substitutes a whole bunch of the nastiest ideas, such as the public option, and passes it with just a majority vote, so some senators in vulnerable positions can say they voted against the final bill.
There seems to be no limit to the deviousness of our representatives.
Even the next few challenges for 2010, the fix is in. The conversion to a dictatorship by the current King Obama and his communists machine will be complete by the middle of next year.

The Democrats apparently aren't worried about losing elections. They have confidence in the vote fraud machine (ACORN, etc) they have constructed to steal elections. The 2000 election was the first national test of this machine and it almost worked. It has now been proven to be effective since the last few elections, eg. the Coleman vs. Franken election. They think it will work again so the Democrats are not afraid to impose any of their criminal communistic plans on America.
I totally agree. They have never made any apologies or attempts to correct the record when accused of being or having radical marxist connections and ideals. They are taking complete control of every aspect of our lives and don’t seem too concerned about re-election. In fact, they have mainstreamed marxism with ease, and it seems that the people are adapting quite well. They were probably expecting more aggressive protests and became pleasantly surprised when they realized there would just be a few tea parties and townhall meetings before the people went quietly to their fate. I would say the initial experiments have succeeded beyond their wildest expectations and are ready to implement the additional phases of their decades long planning.

You're right. Very little political or "cultural" domestic news that really matters, that is not Politically Correct, is allowed to filter down to Americans. The STATE RUN MEDIA sees to that.

I know one physician who put in his notice today. Not sure if Obamacare was the reason but I suspect it contributed.
