Breaking: Palin Supports Hoffman
The Weekly Standard ^ | October 22, 2009 08:17 PM | John McCormack

Posted on 10/22/2009 5:47:30 PM PDT by avg_freeper

THE WEEKLY STANDARD just received a statement from Sarah Palin endorsing conservative Doug Hoffman for Congress:

The people of the 23rd Congressional District of New York are ready to shake things up, and Doug Hoffman is coming on strong as Election Day approaches! He needs our help now.

The votes of every member of Congress affect every American, so it's important for all of us to pay attention to this important Congressional campaign in upstate New York. I am very pleased to announce my support for Doug Hoffman in his fight to be the next Representative from New York's 23rd Congressional district. It's my honor to endorse Doug and to do what I can to help him win, including having my political action committee, SarahPAC, donate to his campaign the maximum contribution allowed by law.

Our nation is at a crossroads, and this is once again a "time for choosing."

The federal government borrows, spends, and prints too much money, while our national debt hits a record high. Government is growing while the private sector is shrinking, and unemployment is on the rise. Doug Hoffman is committed to ending the reckless spending in Washington, D.C. and the massive increase in the size and scope of the federal government. He is also fully committed to supporting our men and women in uniform as they seek to honorably complete their missions overseas.

And best of all, Doug Hoffman has not been anointed by any political machine.

Doug Hoffman stands for the principles that all Republicans should share: smaller government, lower taxes, strong national defense, and a commitment to individual liberty.

Political parties must stand for something. When Republicans were in the wilderness in the late 1970s, Ronald Reagan knew that the doctrine of "blurring the lines" between parties was not an appropriate way to win elections. Unfortunately, the Republican Party today has decided to choose a candidate that more than blurs the lines, and there is no real difference between the Democrat and the Republican in this race. This is why Doug Hoffman is running on the Conservative Party's ticket.

Republicans and conservatives around the country are sending an important message to the Republican establishment in their outstanding grassroots support for Doug Hoffman: no more politics as usual.

You can help Doug by visiting his official website below and joining me in supporting his campaign:

This statement will be on Palin's Facebook page soon.

We have to have some foothold, some beach, an ink spot to expand in the GOP. Palin, who said she would support conservatives over Party is really becoming a catalyst.

Right now I have a Berlin Wall Falling feeling.

Some thing’s up, it’s exciting.

Hoffman will caucus with the Republicans as he said.
The Conservative Party in NY are conservative Republicans.
This only works in a situation like this, not in state or national elections.

Hoffman is a Conservative Republican

Yada Yada Yada ... The GOP must LEARN ... STOP engineering the candidacy of RINOs, Liberals and Ultra Liberals.

Hoffman could well win... or the Democrat may well win ... but the Ultra Liberal ‘Republican’ Scozzafava will have no chance of wining...

When will the GOP learn that the RINO days are OVER...?

It is easy - simple — Scozzafava should drop out and let a Conservative take the helm and WIN.

Hoffman will caucus with the Republicans in Congress.

I just read this on Sarah’s Facebook page! She’s certainly living up to her ‘rogue’ status, isn’t she! I sure hope the GOP gets the message that running an ‘in your face’ liberal Republican against a liberal Democrat leaves most Republicans with no choice at all. When there is a clear conservative candidate, voters will gravitate to that person, as they’ve done with Doug Hoffman.

I would have done so already except that in CA we only have two choices in the primary - democrat ballot or Republican ballot.

That is precisely why we can't change. We live in Los Angeles.

I think I am going to do the same thing. Many of the independents seem to be more in line with my views than the RNC. I’m over their support of RINOS and I don’t trust them. I can’t stand Steele and I think he is a mole, just like Obongo.

I just donated. Not a lot, but it adds up.

I want a lot of RNC establishment elites to have sphincters in a state of paralysis after this election ends.

I notice that they are already making excuses for their Democrat Lite candidate. Wailing and complaining that if conservatives have a say and are allowed to criticize The One, the GOP will never win anything.

Interesting logic. It’s the fault of conservatives that RINOs lose elections. Black is white. Up is down. Newspeak. Winston Smith lives.
