WASHINGTON (AFP) – President Barack Obama has declared swine flu a "national emergency," the White House said Saturday, as the United States reels from millions of cases of infection and over 1,000 deaths.

Thanks for this link....REALLY interesting. I find Obama deciding to do this on a Friday evening after he had been flitting around the country running his mouth (as usual) most disturbing. This coming right before he is scheduled to sign this country away on global warming. There is much more to this story than what we are being told. There is much more going on than even those idiots we have elected in Washington actually know. Scary, scary times!!
They stopped testing for swine flu, except for those hospitalized and dead, back in July. They don’t have uniform classification for deaths. The swine flu’s effect on the immune system makes it so people die of their “underlying diseases” whereas they would have lived fine had they not gotten the swine flu. Some report this as a death from the underlying disease and some report the death due swine flu. So the data is flakey.
They have no data for death rates since they stopped testing for the flu in the general population. They can make up any nonsense they want to make up about the flu.
However, if it is so deadly - why are the public school flu factories still open? Why did zero give away 10% of our limited vaccines to third world nations as ordered by WHO? Either it is not serious and he is not worried about kids dying. Or it is serious and he is trying to kill a lot of kids by keeping the schools open.

Seasonal flu vaccine is pretty much unavailable, at least in the central valley of California. I suspect the same is true everywhere.
We usually get the seasonal flu vaccine at our local Safeway Supermarket. Year in and year out. A few days ago, I tried to get the vaccine there and they were "out, sorry for the inconvenience." They suggested we try another Safeway, but they, too, were "out." Perhaps Monday, perhaps next month.
OK try the County health department web site. Nothing useful about the seasonal flu vaccine, or available clinics. Ditto the County department of emergency services.
Well, then, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the same "three-stooges" government thugs who are in the death throes of a plan to take over all of our health care system? The shut up and dance crowd?
Perhaps this is nature's way of telling us we should redouble our efforts and lean on the SOBs to go back to extortion and larceny in other areas and leave our &%$@!(^$)!! health care alone?
Sure The Swine Flu can kill; but so can the regular sesonal flu if left unattended.

I hear you. The problem with guys like this and Alex Jones is, there’s usually an element of truth buried within their lies. Their entire purpose is to get the masses to dismiss that element of truth as “tin foil” or “conspiracy theory”. Similar to the way intelligence agencies poison good intelligence with demonstrably false intelligence (one bad apple spoils the whole bunch) — as we saw with the forged, planted documents that nullified all of the (perfectly good) Niger/Iraq yellowcake intelligence.

Abortion is MORE deadly, and has killed more in the history of this nation than any 'Swine flu'. Why don't you declare that an emergency?!
Obama is not running this country. He is simply a figurehead to the REAL Marxists behind him. What really frightens me is my personal belief that the plan to martyr him was in play the moment he was chosen. He has been deemed “the Messiah”. Christ was martyred and that was planned from his birth. Christ knew he would be executed. Wonder if Obama has an inkling. All I do is beg any of us not to act on our anger toward the POTUS in any kind of physical way. Some Bubba right now is being programmed to do this “for the cause”....just like Judas...Bubba or whomever will sell his soul for those pieces of silver and further the movement. Scary, scary. The young ones in this country need to wake up...but they are too busy weeping over Michael Jackson’s death to pay attention to what will eventually make them weep...the loss of their freedoms.

Which leads me to what I think it REALLY happening.
This virus affects people with compromised immune systems - that would include people who carry the AIDS virus - and the numbers for blacks and gays are much higher than for whites and straights... I think that's what the panic is about and has been about... more democrats are dying from the flu.
That is important information The CDC does not have any data to base any decree from the government on how serious or how harmless the flu is. They stopped testing for swine flu in July so they don’t have a base number of infections to know what the real death rate is.

You usually make sense.
Seasonal Flu deaths in US normally near 36,000 per year. No one is discounting 1000 deaths. The departed were hopefully loved and will be missed by their loved ones. Most realize that 1000 flu related deaths are not out of the ordinary. People die every year from the flu and complications.
Question is, will the Republicans stand up and demand answers, or will they be meek and be afraid of being called "racist" for questioning any of The Messiah's motives and actions?? (Big Question).
I hope the American People in one sense answer in the form of sending Doug Hoffman (New York) to Congress week after next.
Thanks — I was actually looking for ALL flu deaths, not just H1N1. I’d bet by the end of the year the annual deaths isn’t much out of line with the usual averages.
That would explain, though, why I couldn’t find any real numbers on the CDC site!
If there is a panic for the vaccine which is in limited supplies, why did zero give away 10% of our vaccine to third would Nations through the WHO? He is the one causing the panic by shorting our Nation on the vaccine.
