From a Gateway Pundit link:

President Obama's school age daughters have not been vaccinated against the H1N1 flu virus. White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs says the vaccine is not available to them based on their risk......At this time only children with chronic medical conditions are receiving the vaccination because their immune system is not strong enough to fight off the strain.

A reminder to Gibbs: Malia Obama is reportedly asthmatic. Explain this contradiction, Ace.

Is he taking responsibility for the failure to act until now? this is one crisis he cannot blame on Bush. The virus was first identified last spring and up until at least a couple of weeks ago it took a week to determine if someone had that strain or another one.

“I do now wonder how many Republicans or Conservatives these days are for extension of provisions of the PATRIOT ACT now that Obama is President.”

Indeed. Hopefully none.

No I didn’t but it does not surprise me one bit - Amerika’s police state has been expanding in both size and power for years now.

LOL!!

I guess the difference is whether they are in a cool refrigerated area or open air, the ones in a store are cooled, not open, room temperature

Worse than the onions is the money used to pay for them. I’ve read these flu germs can linger for days there. I’m trying to use only exact change or my cc. BUT, I have thought about everything I pick up in the store being possibly contaminated, so washing fruit and veggies and other things immediately is key along with my hands. Our grocery store has those wipes out front for the cart - I take extra and use on my hands as I go.

I scan the check out people to look for healthy ones :) I am really pro-active on this as I cannot afford to be sick because others are running around passing us their germs. I go to the drive-thru to pick up meds instead of inside - use my own pen to sign etc.

The best advice I have gathered on many threads is gargling with salt water every night, using a nasal spray saline type wash and taking Vit D3 1000 IU and Vit C. I also take a lot of pomegranate juice and if I feel anything coming on I take Esberitox, Olive Leaf. Astralagus and/or Oscillococcinum

"Calling the emergency declaration "an important tool in our kit going forward," one administration official called Obama's action a "proactive measure that's not in response to any new development." Another administration official said the move is "not tied to the current case count" and "gives the federal government more power to help states" by lifting bureaucratic requirements -- both in treating patients and moving equipment to where it's most needed." Total BS. More of the Marxist POWER GRAB.

My daughter broke her foot the other day, I dreaded taking her to the ER, but we had to. I took her the local Civilian hospital, vice the military one, due to the military hospital has EVERY sniffle and coughing kid around, thanks to the wonderful health care the government gives us. The civilian hospital will issue masks and try to keep the people in respiratory distress separated. We still use a ton of hand cleaner, and didn't touch anything. My family is very healthy, and stay away from the clinic at all costs.

We are supposed to get our H1N1 next week or so. I will gladly give mine up to someone else. If anyone tries to force the vaccine on my kids they are all allergic to eggs. :)

“Personally I think this is a mark of desperation rather than malice. “

Exactly. King obuma gets to wear his Saint Francis of Assisi robes and shout liberal slogans while shoving fascism down our throats.

In a state of fear.

One bogus crisis after another.

Keep the masses off kilter by manufacturing fear and paranoia through faux cataclysmic events.

Man oh man, our government is soooo damn corrupt.

The Reichstag is burning! I mean, the sky is falling! I mean, there’s an epidemic! We’ve never had an epidemic before! Oh, whatever shall we do? I know. Let’s give Obama complete power.

What if you’ve got the rockin’ pneumonia or the boogie woogie flu? Can he declare martial law then?

Thanks for the links. I will check it out. I thought I read in some of the literature that taking under 2500 IU per day can actually put you at more risk. That if you are going to do it, you need 5000IU per day. Now I am confused....lol.

Oscillococcinum Rules!

It’s very expensive but I have boxes of the stuff everywhere - at home, in the cars...an inkling of anything and I’m taking it.

I have Zicam everywhere too...

And tea tree oil, while gross, works!

I was thinking that this morning - don’t do anything that would result in having to go to ER.

My only problem is one of the other girls that works a different shift than I, also works at the hospital — so I Lysol the whole house when I get there.

Hope your daughter heals quickly and no one gets this dreaded flu.

I’ve noticed at the health food store here [small town] that most of those meds are limited now. I also have something called Alpha CF which I haven’t used much - but it’s cheap.

In the grocery store the Lysol type products were almost gone, which leads me to believe many people here have sick children.
