"So now the pendulum is swinging to the other extreme (coming from the extreme of invading Iraq)."

Funny, as I remember it, it 99% support in congress and world wide support. No Bush was not the most conservative president we have had, nor did he do much for the conservative movement. But to say he was incompetent in ridiculous.

I know... You think neither the democratic process, nor capitalism are worth a damn. But you cannot present a political/economic system that works one whit better anywhere!!!

I lay this all at the feet of the people that voted these retards in office as well as the type of “conservatives” that blame the GOP for everything because they don’t want to mess with the communists. Find another scapegoat.

I lay this all at the feet of the Republican party. They knew that John McCain was a terrible candidate for President, and they had him at the top of the ticket, because the neocons wanted him there

Who is "they"? The RNC deserves a lot of criticism for lots of crap all right but a huge part of the blame lies with voters themselves. They put McCain in there and elected Obama. People whine about RINO politicians but there are RINO politicians because there are RINO voters. You won't see a Jeff Sessions elected Senator in Maine.

Reagan was able to reach these disperate factions and people and pull them in. We need a candidate like that that can suck voters into the tent because without the voters themselves in your camp you have nothing.

I’m watching it on CSPAN and these liars are pissing me off so bad I’m tempted to grab the shotgun and blow the damn TV right through the living room wall.

But hubby is taking a nap and that would likely wake him up LOL.

Some republican with half a clue who can speak off the cuff needs to get face time and plainly talk about why this is wrong and is certainly wrong for now. That idiot cardiologist who always speaks with the slicked down hair has the charisma of a noodle.

If the repubs don’t find someone who can just flat tell the American people, without a speech or teleprompter, that they agree we need reform and that they have put out a reasonable plan and talk some common sense...it’s over.

Could be any time, supposedly 4 hours of debate, but since the Republicans are basically powerless, Dingell could call it at any time I figure!

Your memory is a bit faulty on Iraq and much of the past eight years. Bush was clearly not perfect, but he was quite competent. I am displeased with many things he did, but your description is with worthy of the Daily Kos.

RE: Iraq, it was not a far right position. It was a continuous policy dating back to 1998 under Clinton. Support was widespread on both sides until the Dems got their butts kicked in 2002 mid-terms and made the war political.

I hate seeing otherwise smart people re-writing history alongside the the left-wing.

If all of the Republicans would vote ‘no’, the bill would go down in flames because the conservative Dems wouldn’t support the final version.

Yep, they had better not take the bogus bait. Did you hear Boehner? Sounds like he's having nunofit. Hope the rest don't fall for it either.

Not enough no votes yet. The Rats have 40 no votes to give away to their Blue Dog friends and will spread them around to then get others.

It’s really deep trouble. But then again, the whole country is in trouble. But that never stopped marxists from fulfilling their agenda.

Do recall once Lenin gave the masses a break with a temporary NEP rule that allowed people to buy and sell food. That kept the country from collapsing. Then the marxists went right back to destroying everyone who got in their way.

Look at the vacant eyes of Nancy Pelosi and do you see anything other than the desire for power?

This is all about centralizing power to the State. No one believes the lie remotely this will cut health care costs. It won’t. Everyone will be hit and hit hard. Your insurance company will spike its prices before its inevitable collapse.

But then again, that’s the plan.

George Soros is running this country. He’s an invited friend of the White House. And you are the enemy.

Don’t forget it.
