Americans Are Starting to Miss President Bush

Obama 'Cold' and 'Bloodless' The UK Telegraph has a remarkable story from America about a new trend that, so far, seems to be going unreported in the American media. Americans, turned off by President Obama's cold demeanor, are missing George W. Bush.

"In a sign that the Obama honeymoon truly is over, I began to hear this week the first stirrings of a wistfulness about Mr Bush. 'I never thought I'd hear myself say it,' one Democrat told me. 'But Obama makes you feel that at least with Bush you knew where he was on Americans Are Starting to Miss President Bush something.'"

The Telegraph piece cites, among other things, President Obama's relatively cold public reaction to the Fort Hood Massacre in which a Muslim soldier took the lives of at least thirteen of his fellow soldiers and wounded thirty. It is noted that President Bush felt very deeply the deaths of servicemen and women in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Indeed, former President Bush and his wife Laura paid a private visit to Fort Hood to meet with the wounded and the bereaved. President Obama has yet to visit Fort Hood, though he is scheduled to be at a memorial service on Tuesday.

A year since Barack Obama was elected on a wellspring of "hope and change" there seems to have developed a yearning for a President who can feel, who actually has emotions. In a way Americans exchanged a President like Captain Kirk for one like Mr. Spock and do not very much like it.

The nostalgia for President Bush has even manifested itself in a poster and bumper sticker that shows a smiling Bush with the caption, "Miss Me Yet?"

Americans Are Starting to Miss President Bush

Really? I haven't heard anyone say that except for here at FR. I voted for Bush twice and would take him over Hussain any day but I have heard no one I live or work around say they miss Bush.

He’s having trouble hiding his real feelings about Americans and particularly the military. His heart is with the terrorists.

I’m a postal sorting clerk and someone put a Xerox of that
up near the time clock...and a couple people wrote “yes” on it. This, in a place where our unions were all over supporting Obama. Talk to some of us in private and you’d find we aren’t necessarily 0-bots.

I remember that Rush Limbaugh was so describing many months ago. Not cool, but cold. Cold as a dead fish. Not as bad as Carter, who IS a dead fish.

He's a puppet disguised as a president.

He's a community organizer with an agenda.

As president, what else would a human with a normal I.Q. take him as?

W selected two pretty good conservative judges to the supreme court. No dem lite would have ever picked. Dem lites don’t pound the taliban and say either you’re with us or against us. A dem lite lite would pander to the politically correct. He’s not perfect but the lame congress and senate is what killed everyone. Throw them out.

“Cold” and “bloodless.” It’s important that people should see him that way, because it’s the truth.

Everyone was under the misapprehension that he was warm and caring. Nothing could be farther from the truth. He could care less about anyone other than himself and his vision of his own importance. He hates whitey, but he doesn’t really care about blacks, either. He just uses them.

Malignant narcissism. I have seen nothing in his behavior to change my mind that that’s his problem. He was abandoned, sexually abused, and mistreated as a child, and he was brainwashed by communist fanatics all his life. So it’s not surprising that he is the way that he is.

Frankly, he belongs in a loony bin, not the White House. And people had better start realizing it.
