Images of Prosecutor's strongly voiced complaints against Huckabee's clemencies, and a response stating that Huckabee "laughed out loud" upon reading it and suggesting the Prosecutor "cut down on your caffeine consumption".

The prosecutors may feel a grim sense of schadenfreude about the Huckster but I'm sure they're sick about the fact four police officers died to prove he shouldn't have been reducing those sentences.

“Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t Huckabee claim that the prosecutor never made any objections???? I thought I heard him say that on Hannity’s radio show.”

That was before he knew the letters were still around.

I don’t understand the thing from Gov. Fraudoire of Washington. I thought Clemmons had been in Washington since 2000. At any rate he didn’t just arrive there a few days before the murders. It sounds like she’s trying to pass the buck.

Most successful con men are likable. That’s why they are successful.

Hucksterbee smiles, and cracks jokes. Then he lies like an F’ing rug.

Before all of us anti-Huck guys get too happy about this, remember it is the Liberal press that is behind the story. Did someone check the document for Dan Rather’s fingerprints?

If Huck’s political career was dead after the cop shooting...
...then this just wrapped it in chains, attached a weight, and dropped it off into a deep lake.

My first thought too. You painted the exact picture.

This letter is toxic. Huckabee's not only finished politically, he could very well be out of his little variety show gig, too.

Let us all pray for such sweet justice.

Forgive me if this has been posted. I don't have the stomach to read all the posts. But, this “controversy” is unfair demagoguery and has the coward Romney's fingerprints all over it.

I was not a Huckabee fan, but anyone who stands up to prosecutors is a hero. There's no political upside. Romney let Gerald Amirault rot in jail when he knew perfectly well he was innocent, because he cared more about looking tough than justice.

In this case, Huckabee did the only thing he could do. All the other cases, I don't know. But this country is turning into a big prison farm thanks to out of control prosecutors (both parties) and demagogue politicians with their mandatory minimums. If this costs him politically, it's a shame.

No forgiveness. No clemency. Go back into the dank black slammer of your Huckabee-lovin’ ignorance and rot.

The NYT has been sitting on this info for years, hoping to pull it out if Huckabee had won the GOP presidential nomination. Why else would they have been working so hard to try and convince us that *uckabee was The Guy in ‘08?

Blaming Romney, Democrats, or anyone else does not negate this video:

Nor does it negate this statistic:

He most certainly did. Heard it with my own ears.

“Come tell us again about how we’re all happy police died and how huckafraud is wonderful and we are all “just as bad as liberal democrats.”

Gladly! You are a political opportunist that wants to see Huckabee eliminated from contention for office. You don’t care about the dead officers (heck many of you probably are mostly anti law enforcement most of the time) except that have provided you with an opportunity to denigrate Huckabee; crocidile tears. You are every bit as vile as liberal democrats who use the same tactics.

Ok, does that sufficiently get you riled enough? I can do more? I aim to please.

You think 106 years for a 16 year old who’d never used a weapon in a crime was proper?

He did.

He's said it on Hannity radio show, on The O'Reilly Factor and in various newspapers across the country.  He's a fraud, a liar, and a phony.  He's Huck-a-phony.

Glad you asked! :)

I say, look at the date of the letters, 2004. Huck wasn’t laughing about the Clemmons case, that was in 2001. So obviously this was about a case that we don’t know all the details about.

As usual I will be “fair and balanced” and wait for all the facts to come in. They always do.

One of the reasons I like Huck is because of his sense of humor, a characteristic completely lacking in Mitt Romney.
