-————2) Change the rules, as Dem Alan Greyson called for. With 50 Senators plus Biden.——————

And

-————#2 may have been headed off by the Gang of 14 moderates that we conservatives cursed(over judges 2006).——————

What does a judicial filibuster have to do with a legislative bill?

In the meantime, Soros is lining up his troops so as to make sure that ALL Secretaries of States are democrats. Will we sit around and let him get away with that? It’s time for boots to hit the ground.

First of all .. the dems are in a hurry because they know the American people DON’T WANT THIS STUFF so the dems have to get it passed into law before we can stop them.

Secondly .. if the dems try the nuclear option (after all their caterwalling about the repubs doing it), the dems are going to see even more losses in 2010.

The dems know that if the public is really as mad as they appear, 2010 will stop all their lunatic ideas.

It means that if you change the Senate rules for a certain type of vote that we republicans think is critically important (and we do) , then expect dems to do the same on their turn (if they were to do it now it would really show RINOs and mod dems as losers).

Libs are making exactly the same arguments conservatives were, “the system is broken, they defy the constitution, it doesnt matter whose in power”(We know that is a lie), “the other side is abusing filibusters.” .

Those that call for this on both sides seem to assume power forever.

If I remember correctly, the argument was ‘filibustering judges is unconstitutional’.

No?

Mark Levin ! I listened to him daily then.

Yep, but we know the Senate can make it's own rules. And the rules take the 51 majority. And Mark never complained about this rule until it worked against us (you will find this is standard.) Not like he took this rule to court, His complaint is the other side voted against cloture.

Mark is pretty good at throwing around the word “Unconstitutional”. I used to like it back when I read his “Men in Black”. Getting a bit old now. Levin may wish he was the SCOTUS, but he is not.

Where’s the goron prozac Freepers that said Reid would not use the ‘nuclear’ option?

The only option left is:

STATE NULLIFICATION

Think about it. What if just (3) State Governors told DC to pound sand regarding their Healthcare mandates? What would DC do?

1. Send in the National Guard or regular Army? Not likely in this day. This is not the 1860's;
2. With hold Fed funds? Maybe. But the rebellious States could with hold their tax receipts to the Fedgov;
3. Lawsuits by the Fedgov? Okay, then a given State could get a restraining order to postpone Obamacare.

Other than the above, what exactly could DC do? I say those wimps in Washington won't do anything, other than maybe file lawsuits. That would be a good thing. The 9th and 10th Amendments' intent would finally make it to the USSC.

If the Supremes ignored all the writings of the Founding Fathers regarding States' Rights and Numerated Fed powers and erroneously determined that Congress has the right through the abused "commerce" and "welfare" clauses, then the States can still NULLIFY! What could DC do if just a few States held their ground? I say that DC would back down.

I like it -

Perry of TX has been in the news with attributions of succession - he might be game.

Sanford of SC has made a mess of his situation, but might be willing to act while he's still in place...

Who else? Do any other states’ Freepers have a sense that their governor might stand up to this obamination? Would enough of us take the time to begin organizing such an effort for our states?

I winced when I saw how tight those were in the picture, but found myself feeling that was ‘an OK start’ for the non-representing representatives.

If they keep it up, there will be folks desiring to apply equivalent trusses elsewhere on the oligarch’s bodies.

“I guess the silver lining is that if they change the rules to pass it, we’ll only need 50 votes to repeal it in 2010.”

But the President will veto anything passed by Republicans in 2010.

>Congressional Democrats are absolutely determined that, come what may, the United States will be converted to communism before the 2010 elections can inhibit their revolution.<

They have to seize power before 2010 or else their party is over. They have put themselves in a do or die situation now.

In 2012 Obama would lose the WH if he played by the rules, you actually think that that sick man is going to leave? I don’t. He is staying regardless of what we want. I will bet money on it.

“But to even bring the thing to a vote, they need 60 to end debate.”

And they’ll get it, too, because “voting” on it will be the “fair” thing to do.

Lock and load.

Yes - and in 2010 or 2012, a conservative government is going to repeal this marxist coup.

IF that were possible, considering any Republicans do not have the spine (or gnads) to do that, even if they have the majority, you know the Dems will simply change the rules BACK to suit their agenda (like they did in Mass regarding the governor being able to appoint a Senator to replace Kennedy).

They DISGUST me!

I wonder, IF we ever saw 60 Republican senators in the congress, if they would become aggressive activists and do what needs to be done!

I think we know the answer to that.

Well, that would be the case if the Republicans were in charge. The dems have made it CLEAR since the inauguration that the Constitution and rules be DAMNED. They WON and will do whatever they please!

They need an angry mob of about 10,000 to storm that building and drag their a$$es out. THere is an angry storm brewing and I hope I see the day when the scenario above plays out and I really hope that I am a part of it. They are evil to the core.
