FRiends,

What follows is my lead-in to the email above which I forwarded to my family & friends.

=== I am normally against passing along emails, but felt this was too important not to forward. It regards one of the two greatest internal threats to our nation: government takeover of healthcare (The other is giving citizenship to 12,000,000 -25,000,000 alien-criminals, aka anmesty).

The U.S. Senate may break their own rules and go against the will of the vast majority of U.S. Citizens to pass their health care bill.

Consider the fact that our representatives have been unwilling to read these bills before passage, much less allow the people they represent to do so. Then they continue changing the bills behind closed doors minutes before passage. If what they're doing is a good thing, we should be pleased when we read it. If it's not, we'll regret not having stopped it.

Why are they in such a hurry? Why are they making it up as they go along?

The House bill was almost 2000 pages, and has already been passed; the Senate bill is over 2000 pages. Compare this to the 8000 page U.S. Code, which the reconciled bill will modify.

The current bill includes our having to pay for the murder of unborn children, the healthcare of non-U.S. Citizens, and slashes funding for the already broken government-run Medicare. The cost will be Trillions more of OUR money. (They are also exempting themselves from their plans.)

The senseless nature of the rush to passage leads me to believe there's something more going on here, something that they don't want us to know.

Please consider forwarding your thoughts onward as well... ... and consider signing the petition at:

http://www.grassfire.net/r.asp?u=23467&PID=22955334 ===

Schumer said a long time ago that they would use the nuclear option to pass this. Not much doubt that it's coming.

How shall we rob thee. Let me count the ways...

This has been his plan since day one.They knew they’d never get 60 votes with a public option;the real vote was to start debate to get it to the floor.

Congressional Democrats are absolutely determined that, come what may, the United States will be converted to communism before the 2010 elections can inhibit their revolution.

But to even bring the thing to a vote, they need 60 to end debate.

The U.S. Senate may break their own rules

The Senate has plenary power to make its own rules, granted in Article I.

go against the will of the vast majority of U.S. Citizens

The way we ascertain the "will of the majority" (never mind the "vast majority") in a representative Republic is by the results of elections. All 435 Members of Congress were elected in 2008. Sixty-seven of the 100 Senators have been elected since 2006.

Polls don't, and shouldn't, govern the country.

There's no evidence - none whatsoever - based on elections that this Congress isn't doing EXACTLY what the People want them to do.

I hope the People are happy with their stupidity.

Just wondering about that “Comity” that McCain and Graham and others promised us regarding the Gang of 14, not that long ago. It seems to be forgotten now.

The U.S. Senate may break their own rules and go against the will of the vast majority of U.S. Citizens to pass their health care bill.......by using the nuclear option.

Any fool can plainly see that the endangered Dems are frantic----rushing to pass this abomination b/c they need to get money into the hands of ACORN, SEIU, immigrant groups, and others, BEFORE the Nov 2010 elections.

Remember that the first four years of ObamaCare is amassing $$billions. The healthcare does not kick in til 2013.

Even stupid Dems know that, for them, it's curtains in 2010---unless massive voter fraud takes place. They need to buy votes and must get billions into the hands of their operatives---ACORN, SEIU, immigrant groups, and others.

ObamaCareCost Could Top $6 Trillion
Cato Institute | 9/27/2009 | Michael F. Cannon
FR Posted on 11/29/2009 by GVnana

(Excerpt) Congressional Democrats are using several budget gimmicks to disguise the cost of their health care overhaul, claiming the House and Senate bills would cost only (!) about $1 trillion over 10 years. Now that critics have begun to correct for those budget gimmicks, supporters of ObamaCare are firing back.

One gimmick makes the new entitlement spending appear smaller by not opening the spigot until late in the official 10-year budget window (2010–2019). Correcting for that gimmick in the Senate version, Sen. Judd Gregg (R-NH) estimates, “When all this new spending occurs” — i.e., from 2014 through 2023 — “this bill will cost $2.5 trillion over that ten-year period.”

Another gimmick pushes much of the legislation’s costs off the federal budget and onto the private sector by requiring individuals and employers to purchase health insurance.

(A) When the bills force somebody to pay $10,000 to the government, the Congressional Budget Office treats that as a tax.

(B) When the government then hands that $10,000 to private insurers, the CBO counts that as government spending.

(C) But when the bills achieve the exact same outcome by forcing somebody to pay $10,000 directly to a private insurance company, it appears nowhere in the official CBO cost estimates — neither as federal revenues nor federal spending.

That’s a sharp departure from how the CBO treated similar mandates in the Clinton health plan. And it hides maybe 60 percent of the legislation’s total costs. When I correct for that gimmick, it brings total costs to roughly $2.5 trillion (i.e., $1 trillion/0.4).

Here’s where things get really ugly. TPMDC’s Brian Beutler calls “the” $2.5-trillion cost estimate a “doozy” of a “hysterical Republican whopper.” Not only is he incorrect ... Read more at cato-at-liberty.org ...

The Liberal Totalitarians have every intent to obtain their Ends by way of Force.

Application of this force in the Senate is an assumed n brainer for them. What should concern us is how far are they willing to go to obtain the fair redistribution they seek.
People “think” this is a move to Socialism when in fact its really a stealth play for Communism.

I do not believe we have the claws that this beast is yet ready to use to achieve their coveted ends

Lieberman, Landreau, Lincoln and the other blue dogs that thought they could stop the bill with a final filibuster may have been duped. These people should be made to pay for their stupidity as Reid will be.

First of all .. the dems are in a hurry because they know the American people DON’T WANT THIS STUFF so the dems have to get it passed into law before we can stop them.

Secondly .. if the dems try the nuclear option (after all their caterwalling about the repubs doing it), the dems are going to see even more losses in 2010.

The dems know that if the public is really as mad as they appear, 2010 will stop all their lunatic ideas.

The only option left is:

STATE NULLIFICATION

Think about it. What if just (3) State Governors told DC to pound sand regarding their Healthcare mandates? What would DC do?

1. Send in the National Guard or regular Army? Not likely in this day. This is not the 1860's;
2. With hold Fed funds? Maybe. But the rebellious States could with hold their tax receipts to the Fedgov;
3. Lawsuits by the Fedgov? Okay, then a given State could get a restraining order to postpone Obamacare.

Other than the above, what exactly could DC do? I say those wimps in Washington won't do anything, other than maybe file lawsuits. That would be a good thing. The 9th and 10th Amendments' intent would finally make it to the USSC.

If the Supremes ignored all the writings of the Founding Fathers regarding States' Rights and Numerated Fed powers and erroneously determined that Congress has the right through the abused "commerce" and "welfare" clauses, then the States can still NULLIFY! What could DC do if just a few States held their ground? I say that DC would back down.

I signed the petition but think Dingy Harry is posturing for the cameras.

As long as it has a public option, he doesn’t have the votes.
